**

PURPOSE

This machine is intended for vacuuming dust in domestic use.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES

WARNING
READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious personal injury.

• Use only identical manufacturer’s replacement parts and accessories. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage.
• Use a face mask if operating in dusty work spaces.
• Do not use in rain.
• Do not use the appliance for any job except that for which it is intended.
• Avoid unintentional starting – Do not carry appliance with fingers on the switch. Be sure the battery is removed while transporting.
• Do not overreach – Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
• Stay alert – Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate this unit when you are tired, ill or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
• Always store idle appliance indoors – When not in use, appliance should be stored indoors in a dry place, out of reach of children.
• Check damaged parts – Before further use of the appliance, a guard or other part that is damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, damaged mountings, and any other  condition that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service center unless indicated elsewhere in this manual.
• Remove or disconnect battery before servicing, cleaning or removing material from the appliance.
• Do not run the machine unattended.
• Do not vacuum, or use this machine near liquids, gases, or explosive vapours like gasoline or similar fuels, lighter fluid, cleaners, oil-based paints, natural gas or hydrogen.
• Do not vacuum or use this machine near explosive dusts like coal dust, magnesium dust, grain dust, or gunpowder as sparks inside the motor can ignite flammable vapours or dust.
• Do not vacuum burning or smoking items such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
• Do not expose to rain. Store indoors.
• Do not handle the battery or the machine with wet hands.
• To reduce the risk of health hazards from vapours or dust, do not vacuum toxic materials.
• Do not use or store near hazardous materials.
• Do not use this machine with a torn filter or without installing the filter except when vacuuming liquids as described in the operation section of this manual.
• Do not use the vacuum as a toy. Pay particularly close attention when it is being used by or near children.
• Turn off the machine before inserting the battery. Turn off switch before removing battery pack.
• Do not put any objects into the ventilation openings. Do not vacuum with any ventilation openings blocked.
• Keep free of dust, lint, hair or any other items that may reduce the air flow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all body parts away from opening and moving parts.
• To reduce the risk of falling, use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
• Always install float before any wet pick up operation.
• For household use only.
• Remove the battery pack before cleaning or servicing.
• Do not use without filters in place.
• Do not dispose batteries in a fire. The cells may explode. Check with local codes for possible special disposal instructions.
• Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause injury to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
• Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the battery with conducting materials such as rings, bracelets, and keys. The battery or conductor may overheat and cause burns.
• Dress Properly – Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be caught in moving parts. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
• Do not add unnecessary force to your appliance.
• Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
• When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause a fire.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
• Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
• Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F (130°C) may cause explosion.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the appliance and safely disposed of.
• Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
• The plug must be removed from the socket- outlet before cleaning or maintaining the appliance.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the appliance before being charged.
• If the appliance is to be stored unused for a long period, the batteries are removed.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

RISK LEVELS

The following signal words and meanings are intended to explain the levels of risk associated with this product.

RECYCLE

Separate collection. You must not discard with usual household waste. If it is necessary to replace the machine, or if it is no more use to you, do not discard it with household waste.

Separate collection of used machine and packaging let you recycle materials and use them again. Use of the recycled materials helps prevent environmental pollution and decreases the requirements for raw materials.

At the end of their useful life, discard batteries with a precaution for our environment. The battery contains material that is dangerous to you and the environment. You must remove and discard these materials separately at a location that accepts lithium-ion batteries.

INSTALLATION

• Replace the battery pack or the charger immediately if the battery pack or charger cord is damaged.
• Exam that the machine is in the OFF status before you install or remove the battery pack

UNPACK THE MACHINE

WARNING

Make sure that you correctly assemble the machine before use.

WARNING

• If parts of the machine are damaged, do not use the machine.
• If parts are missing, do not operate the machine.
• If parts are damaged or missing, contact the service center.

1. Open the package.
2. Read the documentation provided in the box.
3. Remove all the unassembled parts from the box.
4. Remove the machine from the box.
5. Discard the box and packing material in compliance with local regulations.

WARNING
For your personal safety, do not insert battery before the tool is assembled completely

ASSEMBLE THE MACHINE

WARNING
To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the machine when assembling parts

1. Insert the stick vac motor (1) into the extension tube (3). The extension pole is installed when you hear a “click”.
2. Insert the extension pole into the motorized brush head(4). The floor brush is installed when you hear a “click”.

TIP
You can change accessories (9/10/11/12) according to your cleaning needs. Push the release button (8) to unlock the floor brush or extension pole, then choose your desired cleaning tool for attachment.

INSTALL THE BATTERY PACK

WARNING

• If the battery pack or charger is damaged, replace the battery pack or the charger.
• Stop the machine and wait until the motor stops before you install or remove the battery pack.
• Read, understand, and follow the instructions in the battery and charger manual.

1. Align the lift ribs on the battery pack with the grooves in the battery compartment.
2. Push the battery pack into the battery compartment until the battery pack locks into place.
3. When you hear a click, the battery pack is installed.

REMOVE THE BATTERY PACK

1. Push and hold the battery release button.
2.  Remove the battery pack from the machine.

OPERATION

WARNING
Do not handle battery pack, switch, or machine with wetlands. Do not expose to rain or allow liquid to enter the motor compartment.

Wear eye protection during operation

START THE MACHINE

WARNING

Do not operate the machine without collection bin or filter.

1. Press the trigger (15) to start the machine. The machine runs at normal mode.
2. Touch the speed button (17) on the screen to adjust the mode. This machine has three modes (20).
3. The screen also shows the remaining run time and battery capacity (16).

NOTE

The LED lights on the screen appear blue under normal circumstances. If the LED lights turn to red and the machine shut down automatically, please refer to chapter ‘troubleshooting’ to solve the problem.

STOP THE MACHINE

1. Press trigger (15) again to stop the machine.

EMPTY THE COLLECTION BIN

NOTE
Empty the collection bin after each use.

1. Press the button on the extension pole or accessories to remove it from the vacuum head.
2. Push the bin release button (7).
3. Press the latch (2) to open the collection bin.
4. Dump debris from the bin into the waste basket.

ASSEMBLE THE CHARGING STATION

NOTE
You can mount the charger on the wall or the stand charger base. The way you mount your charger will depend on the model number and/or parts purchased.

Install the stand charger

1. Align the hole on the two-section rods (30) with the release buttons on the connecting rod, and insert the two section rods to the connecting rod (14).
2. Align the hole on the rod (30) with the release button on the bottom base, and insert the rod (30) to the bottom base (31). Align the release button on the charger base with the hole on the rod, and insert the charger base (32) into the rod (30).
3. Align the ribs of the charger base (32) to the ribs of the charger (21), then push the charger (21) into place. When you hear a click, the charger is installed.
4. Align the power cord into the groove in the rod then connect the charger and power source.
5. Lift and hang your machine onto the port. Clip the accessory clip (24) to the extension pole or stand charger to store the rest nozzles.

Wall-mounted charger

1. Drill two aligned holes on the wall, and knock the two shrink tubes (33) into the holes. Put 2 screws (34) into the shrink tubes to attach the charger base (35) on the wall.
2. Align the ribs of the charger accessory rack (23) to the ribs of the charger (21) then push the rack lock into place.  When you hear a click, the rack is installed.
3. Align the ribs of the charger base (35) to the ribs of the charger (21) then push the charger lock into place.
4. Lift and hang your machine onto the port. Clip the accessory clip (24) to the extension pole to store the rest nozzles or use the rack (23).

NOTE
To remove the accessory rack (23), press the release button (22) and pull the rack out.

REMOVE THE CHARGER

1. Press the charger release button to remove the charger.
2. Press inward the rod release buttons to remove the rod.

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION
Do not let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based materials touch the plastic parts. Chemicals can cause damage to the plastic, and make the plastic unserviceable.

CAUTION
Do not use strong solvents or detergents on the plastic housing or components.

WARNING
Remove the battery pack from the machine before maintenance.

CLEAN THE FILTER

TIP

• Clean the vac filter on a regular basis to maintain optimal performance.
• Cleaning should be done outdoors and not in the living quarters.
• You can use a small brush to clean the dust and debris.

1. Press the button on the extension pole or accessories to remove them from the vacuum head.

2. Push the bin release button then press the latch to open the collection bin.

3. Dump debris from the bin into the waste basket.

4. Turn the filter assembly (6) counter-clockwise and take it off the vacuum.

5. Keep the collection bin door open, carefully pull the filter (25) out of the collection bin.
   NOTE
   Be aware that a rest of dust and debris can fall out the filter when pulling too quickly.

6. Turn the strainer (26) counter-clockwise and remove it.

7. Shake the filter and empty the debris into a waste bin.

8. Run water through the filter from a hose or spigot.

9. Allow the filter to completely dry before storing or picking up debris.

Do not operate the machine without collection bin or filter

CLEAN THE BRUSH ROLL

WARNING
Turn off the machine before maintenance or troubleshooting to reduce the risk of electric shock or injury.

1. Press the release button (8) to disconnect the motorized brush head (4) from the vacuum.
2. Push the brush roll release button (27) so the side plate (28) will release.
3.  Lift the side plate (28).
4. Take the brush roll (29) out.
5. Clean up the debris and hairs.
6. Run water through the brush roll from a hose or spigot.
7. If your brush roll chamber is dirty, use the rag or towel to clean it.
8. Allow the brush roll and chamber to completely dry before storing or picking up debris.

CLEAN THE PIPE

NOTE
Turn off the machine before maintenance or troubleshooting to reduce the risk of electric shock or injury.

1. Press the release button tore move the extension pole and floor brush.
2. Empty the collection bin.
3. Remove the brush roll.
4. Check the pipes of the vac, brush and extension pole.
5. Pump the debris out or use the wire to clean the pipes if pipes are blocked.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Speak to service center.
The battery is not inserted correctly.| Follow the manual to reinstall the bat- tery.
The battery is out of power.| Charge your bat- tery.
**** Dust discharges from machine.| The filter has dam- age.| Replace the filter.
The filter isn’t in- stalled.| Properly reinstall the filter.
The filter is not functional.| Clean or replace the filter.
The filter clogs.| Clean or replace the filter.
**** Loss of suction| The filter clogs.| Clean or replace the filter.
The collection bin is full.| Empty the collection bin.

Errors

Only one red LED light is on and flashes then ma- chine shutdown automatically.| Battery is dead.| Place the machine on charging sta- tion.
The wand debris light (19) is on, LED lights turn to red and the ma- chine shutdown automatically.| **** Clear wand debris.|

1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Remove the extension pole from the vacuum.
3. Pump the debris out.
4. Call service center if it still doesn’t work.

The brush roll debris light (18) is on, LED lights turn to red and the machine shutdown automatically.| **** Clear brush roll debris.|

1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Check if the brush roll is tangled or covered in debris.
3. Clean the brush roll and chamber.
4. Call service center if it still doesn’t work.

TECHNICAL DATA

WARRANTY

(The full warranty terms and conditions can be found on Greenworks website )

The Greenworks warranty is 3 years on the product, and 2 years on batteries (consumer/private usage) from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing faults. A faulty product under warranty might be either repaired or replaced. A unit that has been misused or used in other ways then described in the owner’s manual might be rejected for warranty. Normal wear, and wear parts are not considered as warranty. The original manufacturer warranty is not affected by any additional warranty offered by a dealer or retailer.

A faulty product must be returned to the point of purchase in order to claim for warranty, together with the proof of purchase (receipt).
