ABOUT

NANOGRID™ AIR is a smart energy meter gateway that uses P1/HAN and Wi-Fi technology to enable real-time wireless load balancing capabilities for EV charging on local network (LAN)
CTEK home load balancing eliminates the risk for power overload in your property while charging your electrical vehicle. The load balancing algorithm measures total power consumption continuously in the property and calculates in real time what is available for charging your vehicle.

PREREQUISITES

  • Energy meter with activated P1 (RJ12) or HAN (RJ45) interface (contact your energy supplier for support)
  • WiFi 2.4GHz network
  • Computer or mobile phone/tablet
  • CTEK EV Charger (if load balancing)
  • Micro-USB cable (not supplied) for auxiliary power (if energy meter supplies no power via P1/HAN)

SAFETY

READ ALL OF THE SAFETY AND USER INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
  Installation must fulfil local safety regulations and ensure the IP classification if the box is modified
NANOGRID™ AIR can only be connected to a certified energy meter
  If powering NANOGRID™ AIR using Micro-USB during the initial configuration, the power supply must be limited to 5 V, 0.5 A and be SELV and LPS certified
Users must not be closer than 0.2m when the unit is in full operation

INTERFACE

  1. Reset button – Hold for 5 seconds to complete a Factory Reset
  2. Status LED
BLUE Configuration mode (Blinking)
GREEN Energy meter, Wi-Fi and EV charger connected (Blinking)
YELLOW Energy meter and Wi-Fi connected (Blinking)
RED Energy meter not detected (Blinking)
WHITE Factory Reset completed (Single Flash)

GETTING STARTED

CTEK 40-542 Nanogrid Air - GETTING STARTED

  1. Connect NANOGRID™ AIR to the energy meter P1 or HAN interface.
  2. Once Blinking Blue LED appears, activate WiFi on your mobile phone, tablet or computer and connect to “CTEK_NG_AIR_XXXX” network.
  3. Open the web browser on your computer or mobile phone/tablet and type 192.168.4.1 in the URL field.
  4. Choose the network that you want NANOGRID™ AIR to be connected to, enter the password and press APPLY.
  5. Download the CTEK App from Apple App Store or Google Play Store and follow instructions in the app to configure load balancing for CTEK EV chargers (download QR code on the user manual cover).
  6. Optional: Maintenance settings can be accessed by entering the allocated LAN IP address in the URL field of any web browser from a device on the same network. Credentials for the first access:

DISPOSING OF THE DEVICE

YOUR OBLIGATION AS AN END USER

Products marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol and a single black bar underneath, contain parts that must be handled in compliance with the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU. The appliance may therefore only be collected and taken back separately from unsorted municipal waste, i.e. it must not be disposed of with household waste. The appliance can, for example, be taken to a municipal collection point or, where applicable, to a distributor.
This also applies to all components, sub assemblies, and consumables of the old appliance to be disposed of.
Before the old appliance can be disposed of, all old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the old appliance must be separated from the old appliance. The same applies to lamps that can be removed from the old appliance without being destroyed. The end user is also responsible for deleting personal data from the old appliance.

CTEK Sweden AB, issues this limited warranty to the original purchaser of this product. This limited warranty is not ransferable. The warranty applies to manufacturing faults and material defects for 2 years from the date of purchase. The customer must return
the product together with the receipt of purchase to the point of purchase. This warranty is void if the product has been opened, handled carelessly or repaired by anyone other than CTEK Sweden AB or its authorised representatives. CTEK Sweden AB makes no warranty other than this limited warranty and is not liable for any other costs other than those mentioned above, i.e. no consequential damages. Moreover, CTEK Sweden AB is not obligated to any other warranty other than this warranty.
