Safety Instructions

DANGER: Always use caution around fire and all hot surfaces. Fire and hot surfaces can burn and Injure and can ignite fires to their surroundings.

Warning

• Pots and handles can become extremely hot during use, leading to burns. Exercise caution, and use a pot holder or aven mitt.
• Remove plastic cups, bowls or utensils before heating pot. Heating a pot with these items in place can lead to smoke and fumes. Hot plastic can also burn or scald.
• Always ensure the handle is fully extended and locked in place while cooking. To extend and lock the handle in place, rotate handle away from not body until an audible click into place is heard. Then push handle slicer lock toward pot body to lock into place. If handle is not locked in place it may collapse, leading to unexpected spills of hot contents and scalds or burns.
• Steam will vent through holes in the lid during use. Always point the holes away from handle, stave controls, and yourself while cooking, Failure to do so can result in burns and scalding.
• Never heat to extreme temperatures. Doing so can damage your pot or cause unexpected scalds and bums.
• Do not overfill pots. Overfilling can lead to spills, scalding and burning.
• Always hold lid securely in place using a cool portion of the lid (away from the straining area when staining. Unsecured lids can lead to soills, scalding and burning.
• Always allow unit to cool before cleaning or handling. Handling pot when hot can lead to scalds and burns.
• Keep out of reach of children. Hot liquids and cooking heat can cause burns.

If your model has an elastic cord:

• Use caution when stretching the cord. The cord could rebound and potentially cause injury. Keep face and other vulnerable body parts away from the potential cord rebound path.
• Cord is intended to be used to secure set together. Using it for other purposes could lead to personal injury or property damage.

CAUTION

• Not for use with microwave ovens or conventional ovens. Doing so can damage appliances.
• Cooking over open campfire flame is not recommended. Temperature control is clinical. This can lead to poorly prepared food and damaged Pots. If you choose to cook over an open camp fire, use extreme caution. Do not place pot directly on hot coals or heat to extreme temperatures.
• Never allow flames to extend beyond the bottom of the pot. Doing so can damage your Pot.
• Do not allow pots to boil dry. Doing so can damage your pot.
• If your model has an elastic cord, do not stretch the cord beyond 50% of the un-stretched length. Overstretching the cord can damage the cord.

Care & Use

• Wash all components thoroughly before first use.
• All components are dishwasher safe.
• Dishwashing may age the appearance of your item faster than hand washing. If preserving the finish of any paint and artwork on your item is important to you, we recommend hand washing.
• Do not use dishwashing detergents that contain high levels of chlorine or bromide.
• To remove stubborn stains soak overnight with a solution of warm water and baking soda.
• Not intended for prolonged storage of food and liquids.
