KMINA – COMFORT STOOL

Manual provided for the user of the product. BEFORE using this product, please read this manual and keep it.

INDICATIONS OF USE

The KMINA COMFORT Stool with cushion, should be used as a sitting aid in the bathroom or in the shower for people with sufficient upper body stability.

FEATURES

A) STOOL:

  • User capacity: 330 lb.
  • Assembly without the use of tools.
  • Quick and easy adjustment from 17.3” to 22” high in 6 positions ((including cushion height).
  • Ergonomic seating surface of 20”x 11.8”x 1.4”. Perfect for attaching the KMINA cushion.
  • Safe, comfortable and stable thanks to its sloping tips.
  • Free of corrosion thanks to its aluminum chassis.

B) CUSHION:

  • Cushion dimensions*: 14”x11”x1.3”.
  • Thickness: 1.3” (approx.).
  • Cushion weight: 10 oz (approx.).
  • Composition: EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) foam padding.
  • 100% waterproof.

ASSEMBLY (Fig. 2)

  1. Flip the seat (A) over and position the two U-shaped frames (B) by snapping them into an X shape.
  2. Use the washers (C) with the curved part towards the tube and tighten 4 of the shorter thumbscrews (D) to the seat. The medium thumbscrew will go in the center (E).
  3. Stretch the legs (H) and adjust them one by one and always at the same height, fitting the holes until you hear them click into the frame tubes (B). Make sure that all four legs are adjusted to the same height.
  4. Place the tubes (G) in an X shape as shown in the drawing and use the 4 longer vanes already assembled with their washers and black gaskets to tighten them to the structure. Tighten the center of the X with the other remaining medium sized wing nut (E) with washer (C), and the nut (F) with the last washer (C).
  5. The KMINA bath cushion (I) can now be placed on the stool.

WARNINGS!

  • Make sure the spring buttons click into the holes in the legs.
  • Do not stand on this product or tilt it.
  • Do not use as a climbing aid.
  • Do not use for side transfers or part load.
  • Do not sit on it, unless all four legs are fully in contact with the ground.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Use the bathtub seat cushion for its intended purpose.
  • Check that the cushion fits correctly the seat where it will be used and does not slip.
  • The cushion measurements may vary during the injection process*.
  • Do not use caustics, strippers, solvents and sharp or sharp objects with the cushion
  • Regularly inspect the product for normal wear and tear.
  • Any serious incident related to the product should be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member State in which they are user and patient set.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION

The product can be cleaned and disinfected with products available on the market. Always keep the product clean and wash it regularly.

  • Clean before each use if you change users or have been in contact with body fluids.
  • Never use drying presses or iron the cushion. It is not recommended to use: chlorine, bleach, alcohol disinfectants or abrasive products.

CERTIFICATION

This product has the corresponding CE mark, in compliance with the Medical Device Directive 93/42 / EEC Class 1.
