WARNING : USE ONLY WITH COLD WATER

For optimum use of the timer, we recommend using alkaline batteries. Never use rechargeable batteries

SET-UP:

  1. Place the batteries in their compartment. Use only AA alkaline batteries.
  2. Check that the timer is working: turn the watering cycle “Duration” dial to the “ON” position. You will hear the sound of the mechanism within a few seconds.
  3. Programme the timer before connecting it to the tap.
  4. Use the “Frequency” dial to determine precisely this factor: the frequency of the watering cycle.
  5. Use the “Duration” dial to establish the duration of watering cycle.
  6. Carefully screw the timer to the tap. Do not force it, as this could damage the screw.
  7. Turn the tap on.

IMPORTANT : Never use Teflon or tools.

Note: the watering cycle will begin at the moment in which the first watering frequency cycle has elapsed. For example: if you have adjusted the “Frequency” dial to 1 hour, the first watering cycle will begin when this hour is up, with this cycle then repeating continuously.
Using manual opening enables the water to pass through the tap. If you select manual closing, the opposite will happen.
We recommend taking the timer away in the winter and covering it in the summer to protect it from the sun.

WATERING FREQUENCY:
Every 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 48 or 72 hours or once per week.
DURATION OF THE WATERING CYCLE: 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes.

PROGRAMMING:
Once you have inserted the batteries and connected the tap, simply select the duration and frequency of the watering cycle that you require. The dials can be turned in both directions.

FREQUENCY OF WATERING CYCLE:
To water twice a day: select 12.
To water once a day: select 24.
To water every 2 days: select 48.
To water once a week: Select Weekly.

DURATION OF WATERING CYCLE:
How long would you like the watering cycle to last for? You can adjust the duration of the cycle from 1 minute to 2 hours.

IMPORTANT : the “Frequency” of the watering cycle must always be greater than the “Duration”. (For example: you cannot water every hour for a duration of more than 60 minutes)..

START TIME AND DELAY FEATURE (OPTIONAL):
You can use this function to delay the start time of the watering cycle.
Press the button using the point of a pen. Each time you press the button, you will delay the watering cycle by one hour. Press the button 5 times to delay the watering cycle by 5 hours. You can delay the watering cycle up to a maximum of 12 hours.
LED BATTERY: TESTING THE BATTERY AND PROGRAMMING:
Each time you turn the “Frequency” and/or “Duration” dials you will see a rapid, continuous blinking of the LED light for several seconds.
The LED light will then stop blinking, meaning that the timer has memorised the changes. The LED will light up intermittently, every 4 seconds.
However, if the battery is low, it will light up every second. This is the time to replace the batteries. Once the batteries have been drained, the valve will close for safety reasons.

MAINTENANCE:

Ensure that you use completely new ALKALINE batteries. Ensure that no water falls directly onto the battery compartment of the timer. Do not dismantle the timer: if you do so, you will void the warranty.
