FAQ

  1. What is the maximum read/write speed supported by this enclosure?
It depends on your device and protocol. If your device supports USB 3.1 Gen2 transfer speeds of up to 1000MB/s. The theoretical speed of M.2 NVME protocol is 1 0Gbps, 6Gbps for SATA protocol.

  2. How to do if the hard drive is not recognized?
    (1) Check whether the data cable and the hard disk are in good contact.
    (2) Make sure the hard drive is formatted correctly.
    (3) Not support large capacity hard disks (e.g. larger than 4TB).
    (4) Does the format of the hard disk match the format of the computer? If not, reconfigure your hard drive and choose the formats supported by your system (NTFS/exFAT on Windows, exFAT on Linux and MacOS).

  3. Is it normal that the case heats up?
Due to the nature of SSDs and the high thermal conductivity of aluminum, the surface may become hot during use.

  4. Why is it recognized in Apple’s Mac OS system, but not in Windows?
Mac OS and Windows support different hard drive formats. If you want the hard disk to be common in Mac OS and Windows systems, it is recommended to format the hard disk data to EXFAT format after backup.

OTHER NOTES

  • When the hard disk copy is suddenly interrupted, the file may be corrupted. You can skip the file and continue copying.
*Extending the USB cable may affect the transfer speed.
  • When disassembling a hard drive, please perform the disassembly procedure on the computer firstly, then remove the hard drive from the computer. Forcibly removing the enclosure or hard disk may cause data loss or hard disk damage.
