Introduction:
The Sengled Smart Wi-Fi LED LIGHT BULB with Matter is a certified smart bulb
that allows you to choose colorful and pleasant lighting. It provides features
such as brightness adjustment, schedule setting, scene control, and can be
controlled anytime and anywhere.
Set Up Your Smart Bulb:
The following instructions apply to adding your Light Bulb through the Sengled
Home app. If you would like to use third-party smart home services, such as
Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, please refer to support.sengled.com for the
latest list of supported integrations.
Step 1: Check Compatibility
Please ensure that your Echo devices or controller devices are updated to a
compatible software/firmware version.
Step 2: Set Up Your Device via Matter
- Launch the Alexa app or Google Home app.
- Go to the Devices page.
- Tap the “+” or “Add Device” button to add a new device.
- Choose Matter as the device type.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.
- If prompted, scan the QR Code or enter the numeric setup code provided with your device.
- Select the Wi-Fi network you want your device to connect to and enter the corresponding Wi-Fi password.
- Tap Done to finish the setup.
Step 3: Integrate Your Device into Another Ecosystem
If you want to integrate your device into another ecosystem, follow these
steps:
- Launch the app of the first ecosystem and go to the device Settings page.
- Tap Other Assistants and Apps, then tap Add Another to generate a new 11-digit setup code.
- Copy the setup code.
- Launch the app of the second ecosystem and follow the setup instructions to enter the setup code and complete the integration.

Q: What should I do if my device is not compatible?
A: Please ensure that your Echo devices or controller devices are updated to a compatible software/firmware version. If they are not compatible, you may need to update the software/firmware or contact the manufacturer for further assistance. -
Q: How long does the pairing mode of the Matter-certified device stay on?
A: The pairing mode of the Matter-certified device will automatically turn off after 15 minutes. If you need to turn it back on, you can restart your device by turning it off and then on again.

Set Up Your Smart Bulb
The following instructions are applicable to adding your Light Bulb through the Sengled Home app. If you would like to use third-party smart home services, such as Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant, or would like to find our latest list of supported third-party integrations, please refer to support.sengled.com. Before getting start, ensure your mobile device is connected to your router’s 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. If you are unsure whether your router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection, please check with the maker or provider of your router.
Please make sure the Bluetooth of your smartphone is enabled.
Set Up Your Device via Matter
This is a Matter-certified device. You can integrate it into any Matter ecosystem you prefer for easy control. As IoT manufacturers are working to optimize the user experience of Matter setup, the setup process and user experience should improve over time. Take Alexa, Google, and Apple ecosystems for example and the following shows you how to set up via Matter:
- Add to Alexa via Matter

Note:
- The Matter setup code can only be used to add the device to the first ecosystem. For the second commissioning, you will need to open the app of the first ecosystem to generate a new setup code.
- A Matter hub (i.e., controller) and smart home app of the same ecosystem are required
Add to Alexa via Matter
Before you start:
Since Alexa’s setup is temporarily limited, make sure Alexa is the first
matter ecosystem when adding your matter-certified devices to Alexa. If you
are unsure, please factory reset your device before setup.

How to Set Up Your Matter Device
- Launch the Alexa app and go to the Devices page b. Tap + and then tap Add Device to add a new device.
- Choose Matter and then tap Next on the following pages
- Tap Yes on the confirming page.
- Tap Scan QR Code and scan the QR Code. Alternatively, you can tap Try Numeric Code Instead to enter the numeric setup code that comes along with your device
- Wait for your device to set up, then choose the Wi-Fi you want your device to connect to and enter the corresponding Wi-Fi password.
- Tap Done. Now you can find your device on the Device list and use your voice to control your device

How to Set Up Your Matter Device
Note: The pairing mode of your Matter-certified device will automatically turn off in 15 minutes. You can turn the pairing mode back on by restarting your device, such as turn off and turn on you bulb.- Launch your Google Home App and tap +
- Choose Set up device and tap New Device to add a new device
- Choose Matter and tap Yes on the conforming page.
- Scan the setup QR code on your device. If your device comes without a QR code but a numeric code, you can tap Set up without QR code and enter the numeric code.
- Tap Done when the device is connected
- Choose a location for your device and give it a name. Then you can find your device on the Device list and turn on/off your device on the Google Home app or with Google assistants

How to Integrate Your Device into Another Ecosystem
As the setup code can only be used to add the device to the first ecosystem, for the second commissioning, you need to go to the app of the first ecosystem to generate a new setup code- Launch your Google Home app. Tap the gear button to go to the device settings page
- Tap Linked Matter apps & services and then tap Link apps & services to create an 11-digit setup code
- Tap Use pairing code. If conditions permit, you can alternatively tap Share with QR code and you should use the other mobile device to scan the newly-created pairing QR code
- Tap Copy pairing code to copy the new code
- Launch the app of the second ecosystem. Follow the setup instructions to enter the setup code and follow the app instructions to complete the setup.

How to Set Up Your Matter Device

- Scan the setup QR code on your device. add a new device
- Choose a location for your device and give it a name.
- Choose how your device will appear. Now you can check your device on the Device list and turn on/off your device on the Home app.

How to Integrate Your Device into another Ecosystem
As the setup code can only be used to add the device to the first ecosystem, for the second commissioning, you need to go to the app of the first ecosystem to generate a new setup code- Launch your Home app and go to the Device Settings page.
- Scroll down, tap Turn On Pairing Mode and then Copy Cod
- Launch the app of the second ecosystem. Follow the setup instruction to enter the setup code and follow the app instructions to complete the setup.
Add to smart things via Matter
- Check Compatibility
- SmartThings App Version: 1.7.91(Android); 1.6.94(iOS) or Higher
- Matter-supported Controller: Smartthings V2 Hub, Smarthings V3 Hub, Smartthings Station, Smart TV released in 2022 or later, Soundbar (Q990) released in 2023 or later, Family hub refrigerators released in 2017 or later.
It is recommended to update the firmware to the latest version for better experience
Failed to Set Up via Matter
Refer to the following and you can resolve most setup issues.
- Make sure the firmware of your Matter Controller and Smart Home app is updated to support Matter.
- Ensure your phone and Matter Controller are both connected to a stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and that it has internet access during the setup process.
- Power cycle the Matter-enabled device.
- If the Matter-enabled device has already been added to another ecosystem, you will need to get a new setup code for pairing according to FAQ on how to integrate your device into another ecosystem.
- In the first commissioning, the Matter setup mode is active for 15 minutes after the device is powered on. For the second commissioning, the active time of setup mode varies between ecosystems. If this period has expired, you will need to power cycle the matter-enabled device to restart the clock.
- Restart your smartphone and clear the cache of the Smart Home app
