This device is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electric Code and local regulations in the United States and the Canadian Electrical Code and local regulations in Canada. If you are unsure or uncomfortable about performing the installation, consult a qualified electrician.

PoE keypad wiring
The PoE 6 Button Keypad requires data and power over a single Ethernet connection. A PoEcomplient Ethernet switch delivers both data and power over a standard CAT5e data cable. Installations with non-PoE switches require a PoE- complient power source, such as the PoE Injector.

  1. Remove wallplate
  2. Remove the switch mounting screws
  3. Carefully remove the switch from the switch box.
  4. There is a single RJ45 port on the back of the keypad.

IMPORTANT : Ensure Power over Ethernet is rated for 30W at 48V DC

LEDs
When powered correctly via Power over Ethernet, all LEDs will illuminate to indicate the device is ready to be provisioned.
