General Description:

The AMP. One is a versatile audio device that can be used to enhance your audio setup. It provides various features and configurations to suit your needs.

Release Notes:

The AMP.ONE has undergone revisions to improve its performance and functionality. The latest release includes an updated Phoenix Connector. Please refer to the user guide for more details.

Getting Started:

The user guide provides comprehensive instructions on how to utilize the AMP.ONE effectively. Whether you are setting up a new audio infrastructure, upgrading an existing one, or maintaining your current setup, this guide will assist you throughout the process.

Requirements:

To use the AMP.ONE, you will need line-level inputs and speakers to connect to the outputs. We recommend using the SAVI DSP.One for providing flexible pre- mixed audio.

I/O Layout:

The AMP.ONE features the following input/output layout:

  • Main Power Input
  • 8 x Input Gain Knob
  • 8 x Line Input (Phoenix Connector, 3.55mm)
  • 4 x Output Bridged/Unbridged DIP Switches
  • 8 x Amplified Output OR 4 x Amplified Bridged Output (Phoenix Connector, 5.08mm)

Connector Wiring:

  • Line Inputs: The Phoenix connector wiring for line inputs depends on the type of connection (Balanced or Unbalanced). Follow the provided wiring guide to ensure proper audio output.
  • Amplified Outputs: The AMP.ONE offers two output configurations – 2-Channel (Unbridged) and Bridged. In 2-Channel mode, all 8 outputs can be used with one speaker or speaker line per channel. Bridged mode enables a more powerful output using two channels. To enable bridged mode, adjust the DIP switch in the Output Configuration section on the back of the device. Note that changing between Unbridged and Bridged modes requires a full power cycle to take effect. Double-check your cabling before powering back on.

Operational:

Bridged Configuration:
To configure the AMP.ONE in bridged mode, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the DIP switch in the Output Configuration section on the back of the device.
  2. Push the DIP switch up into the bridged setting for the desired output pair.
  3. Remember to perform a full power cycle for the changes to take effect.

Gain Configuration:

To adjust the gain settings on inputs, use the Input Gain Knobs. Follow these steps:

  1. Use a standard flat-head screwdriver to adjust the inset gain knobs.
  2. To decrease the gain, twist the knob counterclockwise to the lowest setting.
  3. To increase the gain, rotate the knob clockwise to the desired setting.
  4. It is recommended to set the gain to the lowest setting before making adjustments.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

With unmatched power in a minimalist design, the SAVI AMP.One offers 1600 watts of ICEpower®, delivering rich audio in a sleek 1U chassis. Multi- functional with the versatility to manage a variety of use cases: 8 ohm, 4 ohm, 70 volt, 100 volt.

CONNECTOR WIRING

Line Inputs

The Phoenix connector wiring changes depending on the type of connection. Be sure to follow this wiring guide for the audio to sound as it should.
Line input connections can be either Balanced or Unbalanced.SAVi-Controls-

Amplified Outputs

Amplified outputs can be configured for either 2-Channel (Unbridged) or Bridged. 2-Channel (Unbridged) allows for full use of all 8 outputs with one speaker or speaker line per channel.
Bridged connections utilize two channels to push a more powerful output. To enable bridged mode on an output pair, push the DIP switch up into the bridged setting in the Output Configuration section on the back of the device.SAVi-

Warning : Changing between Unbridged Mode and Bridged Mode will require a full power cycle to take effect. Ensure cabling is correct before powering back on.

OPERATIONAL

BRIDGED CONFIGURATION

Inputs and outputs are hard configured as one-to-one connections (input 1 connects to output 1, input 2 to output 2, etc.,). When using bridged mode, inputs and outputs are connected in pairs. Sources on input 1
will be routed to both output 1 and 2 and that output must be wired as a bridged output (see previous page). Additionally, in this bridged mode, souces connected to input 2 will be ignored. This pattern continues, odd numbered inputs are connected to their respective output pair (for example, a source on input 5 will route through both output 5 and 6 when bridged).

GAIN CONFIGURATION

Gain settings can be adjusted on inputs by utilizing the Input Gain Knobs. These knobs are inset and will require a standard flat-head screwdriver to adjust. Best practice for adjustments is to twist the gain knob counter- clockwise to the lowest setting and then raise the gain by rotating clockwise to the desired setting.
Note : Be sure to leave ~20% headroom on each input/output for best performance
