Important
- The filter was created to serve as a premium-quality alternative for customers who are seeking a replacement filter to be used with coffee makers. The water filtered by the Seaco/Philips Aqua Clean CA6903 will better protect your coffee maker, ensuring that your coffee has an intensive taste and aroma.
- The filter is designed for using only with municipally treated tap water and with water from private supplies which has been approved as safe to drink.
Filter Preparation
- Wash your hands before touching the filter.
- Take the filter out of its packaging. Shake it for 5 seconds so that it is ready to use.
- Fill a clean container with fresh cold water and put the filter in it upside down until there are no bubbles.
Install the Filter
Remove the storage tank from the coffee maker. Press the filter until you
sense it click-locking in place. Make sure it is sitting firmly and it can not
move freely; otherwise, you will experience poor performance.
Rinsing and Preparation
Connect the tank to the tube and re-install it into the coffee maker.
Note:
- If your model supports the filter change/flush function, you can use it now; otherwise, channel the first full tank of water through the filter as “hot water only”, without adding coffee.
- Read the manufacturer’s manual when needed.
Care and Maintenance
- Regularly check the water tank to ensure that the filter is firmly in place and that the filtering process is working seamlessly.
- Replace the filter after 150L of use or when the machine indicates that the filter should be replaced. If the coffee maker remains unused for more than 15 days (for example, while you are on vacation), it is recommended that you change the filter before using the machine again.
- Clean the water tank regularly. To ensure thorough cleaning, remove the filter when cleaning the limescale off the coffee maker. Then install a new filter.
