IMPORTANT SAFETY GUIDELINES

Follow basic safety precautions, including:

  1. Do not put your toaster in water, do not use it in a bathroom or near water, and do not use it outdoors.

  2. The toaster should only be used by or under the supervision of a responsible adult.

  3. Position the toaster upright on a firm, level, heat-resistant surface, near a power socket and out of the reach of children.

  4. Do not use it near or below curtains or other combustible materials, do not use it unattended as overcooked bread may catch fire.

  5. The area around the toasting slot will get hot during use – do not touch!

  6. Route the mains lead so as not to overhang and be caught accidentally.

  7. Do not cover the toasting slot during use, or while it is hot.

  8. If bread gets jammed, unplug the toaster and allow it to cool, then carefully remove the bread. Do not use anything sharp object or you will damage the elements.

  9. Do not toast buttered items or make toasted sandwiches in the toaster.

  10. Do not use torn, curled, or misshapen toast slices, they may jam the toaster.

  11. Unplug the device after use, allow it to cool down before cleaning and storage.

  12. Clean the crumbs out of your toaster frequently to avoid a build-up of crumbs. This is unhygienic and may cause a fire hazard.

  13. Do not use the toaster unless the crumbs tray is closed properly.

  14. Keep the toaster and mains lead away from the hotplates, hobs and burners.

  15. Do not use toaster for anything other than toasting bread products.

  16. Do not use the toaster if it is damaged or malfunctions. If the mains lead is damaged, the toaster must be returned in order to avoid hazards.

  17. This appliance can be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
    the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised.

  18. Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children.

  19. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  20. The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

  21. When the appliance is not in use and before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the outlet firstly.

  22. To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do notimmerse the unit, cord or plug in water or other liquid.

  23. The appliance is only intended for the purpose described in user manual. Do not use appliance or any part of the appliance out of the intended use to avoid risk.

  24. The use of accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may lead to injury.

  26. Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

  27. This appliance has a polarized plug (one bladeis wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Before using the appliance for the first time, set the browning level to maximum (Turn the knob to the position of max level), and operate the toaster without bread to cure the new appliance. Some smells may emit, but it” s noting to worry
about. Ensure the room is well ventilated.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

  1. Put the toaster on a level, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains and other combustible materials. Do not place it on or near anything that may be damaged by a medium heat source.
  2. Put the bread into the slot (maximum thickness 1 inch).
  3. Rotate the rotary knob to desired position.
  4. Press the start control lever to power on the toaster, it will not lock at the bottom unless the appliance is connected to a power source.
  5. The CANCEL key light turns on.
  6. Press the corresponding function key.
  7. The toaster starts to heat up.
  8. After the heating is completed,the toast will pop up,the CANCEL key light will go out and the toaster will turn off.
  9. You can press the CANCEL key during heating to end the heating function in any mode.

FUNCTIONAL KEYS

  1. This toaster has 6 time adjustment levels and 4 key functions: CANCEL, BAGEL/MUFFIN, REHEAT, and DEFROST.
  2. CANCEL: Press the lever to turn on the power,the CANCEL light turns on, the toaster will heat up in normal mode. Press the CANCEL key again to end the heating process in any mode.
  3. BAGEL/MUFFIN: Press the BAGEL key,the middle plate of the toaster will stop heating, and the two side plates will continue to heat.This function can be used in any mode.
  4. REHEAT: Press the REHEAT key,the toaster will heat up for 30 seconds,which is not controlled by the level time.
  5. DEFROST:Press the DEFROST key,the toaster heating time will increase by 30+5S in normal mode.This function is used to bake frozen bread.
  6. The BAGEL/MUFFIN key and the REHEAT key can be used at the same time,and the heating time is 30S.
  7. The BAGEL/MUFFIN key and the DEFROST key can be used at the same time,and the heating time is subject to the level time corresponding to the DEFROST function.
  8. The REHEAT key and the DEFROST key can not be turned on at the same time.When one function is turned on,the other function is unavailable.

Note:The above time is the usage time of each function when the product is not preheated.

HINTS AND TIPS

  1. If toasting two slices, they should be of similar size, thickness and freshness.
  2. 0ld (yesterday’s) bread contain less moisture, so makes crisper toast.
  3. 0ld or thin bread cooks faster than fresh or thick bread, so use a lower setting.
  4. Sweet bread products (tea cakes, fruit loaf, etc.) brown much more quickly than ordinary bread, they should be toasted on a lighter setting.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Before cleaning and maintenance, unplug the toaster and allow it to cool down completely.
  2. Wipe the outside with a soft damp cloth.
  3. Do not insert anything expect bread into the slot, as this may damage the toaster.
  4. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
  5. Do not put the toaster in water or any other liquid.

Crumbs
Remove crumbs frequently, they are unhygienic and could cause a fire hazard.
Unplug the toaster and let it cool down fully. Remove and empty the crumb tray.
Wipe it with a damp cloth, dry it, then slide it back into the toaster. Do not use the toaster unless the crumb tray is in place and closed well.
