Important Safeguards

When utilizing electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons .. Please take note of the following guidelines:

• Do not utilize the appliance outdoors or in damp areas.
• Avoid placing the device near the edge of a countertop.
• Ensure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of a table or countertop, or come into contact with hot surfaces.
• Keep the appliance away from hot gas or electric burners, as well as heated ovens.
• Utilize the appliance solely for its intended purpose.
• Refrain from using metal scouring pads for cleaning, as frag­ mints may detach and pose an electric shock hazard.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is operational.
• If the appliance is covered with flammable materials such as curtains, drapes, or wallpaper, it may lead to a fire. Avoid placing any items on top of the appliance during its operation.
• Exercise extra caution when moving any appliance that contains liquids.
• Avoid opening or removing the handle, lid, or coffee tray/capsule holder while the appliance is in use or immediately after use. Opening the lid during the brewing process can result in burns.
• Exercise caution when opening the lid or removing the coffee tray/capsule holder after use, as hot steam may be trapped inside to cause burns.

• Do not operate this product with an empty or partially filled water tank. Ensure that the water level remains within the designated minimum (6oz) and maximum (12oz) marks. Do not exceed the maximum (12oz) mark when filling the water tank.
• Keep the area above the appliance clean during operation, as it may emit hot steam.
• Only brew coffee when a suitable cup/mug is placed underneath.
• This product should not be used without coffee capsules. Important Notes:
• Do not use hot water, milk, or any other liquids for brewing.
• Always use fresh and cold water for brewing.
• Take extra care when handling and removing used coffee cap­ slues. Dispose of them properly.
• Attention! Risk of injury! The bottom of the lid and capsule holder contains sharp needles. Be caution during use and cleaning. Avoid touching the needle tips.
• Caution! Do not open the lid while it is brewing.

Know Your Coffee Make

BREWING COFFEE

1. Pug in ad Power on
   Remove the coffee machine from the packaging.
   Plug the power cord into a power outlet.

2. How to open for water Filing and Cleaning
   Take a mug and fill it with 1 cup (10 ounces) of clean and cold water.
   Press the lid open button and carefully pour the water into the water tank ensuring that it does not go beyond the designated fill line (maximum of 12 ounces, minimum of 6 ounces).
   CAUTION: The piercing needle at the bottom of the lid is quite sharp, be very careful when the lid is open.

3. Closing the top cover
   When everything is ready, please close the lid and place the cup on top of the water reservoir.

4. Closing
   Press the brew button, wait about 2 minutes, the coffee maker starts to dispense hot water, the initial cleaning is complete till the orange light flashes.
   The first sexual cleaning process is now complete!

Drainage function introduction
To remove excess water, press and hold the brew button until the blue light comes on, release the button and the machine drains automatically for about 80 seconds.

BREWING COFFEE

1. Fill and place the mug
   Add appropriate amount of fresh cold water (minimum 6 ounces, 12 ounces maximum) to the mug. Press the top lid open button and pour the water into the reservoir. Place the mug onto the water reservoir.

2. Place the K-CUP Pod
   Place the K-CUP pod into the capsule holder, make sure that it is fully inserted by pressing down with your hand, then close the lid firmly. The blue indicator light will remain illuminated, the coffee maker is ready for brewing.
   Note: Do not remove the aluminum foil cover of the K-CUP Pod

3. Brew and Enjoy
   By pressing the brew button, the coffee maker initiates the heating process, and the blue indicator light will begin to blink. It usually takes around two minutes for the coffee to start dispensing. Once the indicator light turns orange,  it indicates that the brewing is complete. After brewing, please wait several minutes before pressing the lid open button to dispose the used K-CUP pod.
   CAUTION: The temperature in the machine is very high when brewing. Do NOT open the lid or touch the spout during the brewing process to personal injury.
   The K-CUP pod is hot when just finish brewing, to avoid burns, please wait a few minutes or wear gloves to take it out.

CLEAN THE SURFACE

Regular cleaning helps keep your coffee machine running smoothly. Always be sure to turn off and unplug your coffee maker before cleaning.

1. clean the Surface
   Use a damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth to wipe the surface of the coffee maker.
   CAUTION: Never immerse the coffee maker into water or other liquids.
   During coffee brewing, water droplets may fall from the back of the machine due to the steam generated by high-temperature water. Therefore, after each use, use a clean and dry cloth to wipe the relevant areas.

2. Clean the Water Tank and Filter Components Regularly use a damp, non-abrasive cloth with mild soap to clean the water tank and filter components, then thoroughly rinse them with clean water to prevent any cleanser residue from contaminating the water supply system.
   Avoid wiping the inside of the water tank with a cloth to prevent leaving lint behind. Allow both the water tank and filter components to air dry completely.

3. Water Reservoir Cleaning
   After each use, please pour out the liquids residue and clean the water reservoir to avoid overflowing or produc­ing bad smell. Wipe it with a wet, non-abrasive, non-lint­ing cloth .

4. Lid Needle and K-CUP Pod Needle Cleaning
   It is possible to clean the lid needle and K-CUP Pod insert it into the hole to clean the needles . Remember to regularly clean these components after each use to prevent clogging.
   CAUTION: The needles are very sharp, please be careful to avoid injury when clean them.

TO DESCALE YOUR COFFEE MACHINE

It is recommended to descale your coffee maker every 3-6 months. Adhere to the correct descaling procedure.
Depending on the mineral content of the water, calcium deposits or limescale might accumulate in the coffee maker. Although limescale is not toxic, it can negatively impact the performance of your coffee maker if left unattended. Regularly descaling your coffee maker every 3-6 months helps preserve the heating element and other internal components in contact with water. In some cases, the rate of calcium deposition may be faster, in contact with water

Descaling Procedure
Before starting, you will need a large ceramic cup, fresh water, descaling solution, and access to a sink. Do not use a paper cup. Ensure there is no K-Cup pod in the brew chamber. Allow approximately 45 minutes for the descaling process.

Step 1. Clean with Water
Press the top cover button to open the coffee machine lid.
Pour of the descaling solution into the water tank.
Then, pour 8 ounces of fresh water into the water tank as well.
Place a large ceramic mug on the drip tray.
Close the lid and press the brew button.

Step 2. Internal Water Tank Soaking
Allow the coffee maker to rest for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Step 3: Empty the water tank
After 30 minutes of resting, press and hold the brew button button until the blue light comes on, releasing the button, and the machine will automatically dispense the solution  for 80 seconds until the water tank is empty. Once the descaling solution is dispensed out, pour it into the sink.
Step 4. Rinse with Fresh Waste
Repeat Step 1 using only 12 ounces of fresh water. Do not add descaling solution. Repeat this step two more times. If you notice any residual taste, you may continue rinsing cycles with fresh water.
Note: The cleaning action of the descaling solution The cleaning action of the descaling solution may cause “foaming” to occur from the coffee machine. This is normal as the solution reacts with the limescale inside. It will make the interior cleaner and more hygienic.
• Once the solution is rinsed out and limescale is cleaned, the coffee machine should resume normal operation.

EXPLANATION OF INDICATOR LIGHT STATUS

TROUBLESHOOTING

Machine leaking water| Check that the process of pouring water into the water tank has not exceeded the maximum scale, or pour out of the machine.
Make sure the cup capacity is greater than the amount of water poured into the tank.
Check if the water in the water tank is not overflowing, the coffee outlet is not blocked, and clean it regularly.
Small amount of coffee produced| Small amount of coffee produced compared to the amount of water poured.| Regularly pour citric acid liquid soak to dissolve the scale inside the machine after 30 minutes of resting. You can press the start button for 3 seconds to drain or press the start button to brew and discharge.
Pour water into the water tank, hand press the top surface of the filter assembly, the water surface cannot fall into the boiler, please check whether the filter is blocked, need to regularly clean the filter assembly.
The water pump is clogged or damaged.| Return and exchange.

Useful Tips
Water quality can vary greatly in different regions. If you notice an unpleasant taste in your beverage, such as a chlorine or mineral taste, We recommend using purified or filtered water to enhance the taste of your coffee. Do not use  distilled water.
Service
Apart from the recommended cleaning and maintenance procedures, this coffee machine is not user serviceable. If repairs are needed, please refer to the warranty section of this guide.
Storage
Empty the water tank before storing or transporting and take care to ensure that you store the coffee maker in a safe and frost-free environment. When you are ready to use it after storage, we recommend rinsing the water tank with fresh  water and descaling the coffee maker as detailed in the descaling section of the coffee maker.
If you plan to move the coffee maker to another location, turn it off, unplug it and empty the water tank. If your coffee maker has been in a sub-freezing environment, be sure to let it sit at room temperature for at least 2 hours before using it.

If you receive a damaged product, you must notify BonsenKitchen within 48 hours of delivery and BonsenKitchen will investigate the claim and notify the shipping compa­ny of the damage. Please retain all packaging in case BonsenKitchen or the shipping company needs to inspect it. These investigations may take a few days, but item replacements will be processed as soon as possible.
For products that arrive defective or damaged, we are sorry to hear that your Bunsen­ Kitchen product arrived less than perfect. We hope to resolve this issue immediately with the help of our customer support team and quality assurance  team. They will need to know some information about your order and the problems you are experi­encing with your BonsenKitchen product. To report your problem, To report your issue, please contact our customer support team at  customer-service@bonsenkitchen.com with your order number. We may require you to create a short video or take some photos of the product defects and send them to customer-service@bonsenkitchen.com. After an initial analysis of  the video or pictures, if a defect is confirmed when the shipment arrives, we will immediately send you a brand new replacement. If we determine that you have misrepresented the condition of a BonsenKitchen product and that the  product is not defective, we will send you the correct instructions and help you use the product correctly.

The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease of disposal and are therefore recyclable. Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed in accordance with applica­ble local regulations.
