3.1 Before Use
Activation
The monitor must be activated by charging it before the first use.
Note: The monitor will not work without being activated.
Charging
- Connect the main unit with the power/data cable, as shown in the picture.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the power source of 5V output/USB connector, like a laptop or power adapter.
Note:
- Clean and dry the charging contacts after use if you sweat while using the device. Wipe the contacts with a damp cloth, then wipe them dry.
- If it fails to charge, clean the charging contacts and wipe them dry.
Setting the Date and Time
Date and time on the monitor are automatically synchronized each time it is
connected to the ViHealth app.
For connecting the app, scan the QR code in 3.1 to check the quick guide for
ViHealth.
Note: To record the data with the proper date and time, we recommend
connecting the monitor to the ViHealth app before initial use.

Standby Mode
When the monitor is not working, it will automatically switch to standby mode.
Note: the monitor will switch to work mode when being worn.
3.2 Wearing the Monitor
The monitor supports two wearing methods, and you can choose which one suits
you.
3.2.1 Wearing with Chest Strap
-
Attach the monitor to the chest strap.
-
Dampen both electrodes on the back of the chest strap.
-
Position the monitor across the front of your chest, just below your pectoral (chest) muscles.
Note: Ensure the “R” is facing to the right. -
Adjust the length of the strap and tighten the strap to ensure the device remains in place while moving.
Note: Ensure the electrodes on the chest strap are placed snugly on the skin.
3.2.2 Wearing with Electrodes
-
Attach the monitor to the disposable ECG electrodes.
-
Remove the packaging from the disposable ECG electrodes.
-
Place the disposable ECG electrodes on the upper chest in the position shown below.
Note:
- Ensure the “R” mark is facing up.
- If you sweat a lot, to avoiding the electrodes falling off, we recommend you to use the strap measurement.
3.3 Recording the Heart Rate
Once you are wearing the monitor appropriately, the monitor switches to work
mode and automatically starts measuring and recording your heart rate.
The monitor only stores heart rate data in the built-in memory. The total
recording time allotted to all records is 30 hours. For a single record, the
recording time can be up to 24 hours.
If the total recording time exceeds 30 hours, the oldest data will be
overwritten by the most recent data.
After stopping measuring, you can review the resulting data on the app. Scan
the QR code in 3.1 to check the quick guide for ViHealth..
3.4 Linking to ANT+ Fitness Equipment
The monitor can be linked to fitness equipment via ANT+ technology, so you can
view your heart rate on the ANT+ compatible equipment console.
Search VisualBeat on your ANT+ compatible equipment. It will send heart rate
data to your equipment.
3.5 Factory Reset
You can restore factory settings on the monitor in the app.
Caution: all user-defined settings and measurement data will be deleted from
the monitor after factory settings have been restored.
Maintenance
By following the directions below, you can maximize the life span of your monitor.
- Never attempt to disassemble or repair the monitor.
- Protect the monitor from sharp objects, extreme heat or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
- Store the monitor in a clean, dry environment at room temperature.
- When putting on or taking off the monitor, do not excessively twist, bend or stretch it.

- Remove the monitor from the strap and rinse the strap after every use.
- Hand wash the strap every week in cold water with a mild detergent.
- Do not put the strap in a dryer or a washing machine.
