App and WiFi Connection

1. Q: Network requirements for DEEBOT to connect to the ECOVACS HOME App.

2. Q: The ECOVACS HOME App displays that DEEBOT is offline.

A: (1) If there is only one router at your home and the robot is offline after it is successfully connected with the App, please follow the troubleshooting instructions in the App. (2) If there are more routers at your home, and the routers have different names and passwords, the robot is offline after it's connected successfully with one of the them: 1) The robot should be connected with each router in turn, and then it can automatically switch to the related router WiFi of the cleaning area (only temporarily offline during the switch). 2) You can also add the other router WiFis via the App settings (WiFi management) when DEEBOT is online. (3) If you have a mesh network WiFi router system (WiFi router extenders), please turn off the extenders first, and get the robot connect with the main WiFi router. After the connection is successfully completed, please turn on the extenders, and then your robot can move to the network covered by the extenders automatically.

Charging

1. Q: Unable to charge/fully charge DEEBOT

Mapping

1. Q: DEEBOT created a map that is confusing/skewed/overlaid/incomplete.

A: For maps that are confusing/skewed/overlaid: (1) Confirm that the map has been saved successfully (area functions can be used normally). (2) Turn off the power switch, turn DEEBOT back on, then place DEEBOT correctly on the charging dock to attempt to recover the map. If the map cannot be recovered, try moving the charging dock to a different position and restart mapping. Recommendations for use: (1) The charging dock should be properly positioned against the wall (ensure there are no obstacles within 0.5 m to the left and right and 1 m in front of the charging dock). (2) Do not move DEEBOT during cleaning. (3) Strong direct light and reflective objects in the home environment may cause issues when mapping. (4) Check the side of the navigation sensor regularly for dirt and wipe with a clean cloth or paper towel if necessary. (5) We recommend deleting any maps in the App, and then remapping. For maps that are incomplete: (1) Before DEEBOT starts mapping, try to open all the doors of the room you want DEEBOT to map, and organize items in the home to allow DEEBOT to move freely. If a door of a room is closed during mapping, the next time DEEBOT cleans, open the door of the room, and DEEBOT will enter automatically. The map will also update automatically. (2) High thresholds in the home, dark floors, strong direct light, etc. may lead to incomplete mapping. High thresholds: We recommend setting up virtual walls in the App. Dark floors: We recommend covering the surface with mats. Strong direct light: We recommend drawing curtains or mapping at a different time. (3) People or pets should not follow DEEBOT when mapping.

2. Q: Missing maps

A: (1) Make sure that the robot has successfully completed mapping (maps are available in area mode and can be used normally). (2) Once mapping is successful, if you move the charging dock, move the robot, or if the home environment changes significantly, or if positioning is not successful, the map will be lost, and a new temporary map will be generated before cleaning begins. In any of these cases, try moving DEEBOT to the charging dock to restore the map (Note: charging dock position has not changed) (3) If map recovery fails, please fully charge DEEBOT and restart mapping from the charging dock (please avoid following or intervening with the robot during the cleaning process).

3. Q: Mapping/Multi-floor map saving/replacing/switching

Cleaning

1. Q: How to use area cleaning and custom cleaning?

A: Area Cleaning (1) The robot will divide areas automatically after the first successful mapping. (2) Select areas to clean based on your needs. Cleaning times and suction power can be set in the cleaning preference function. (3) Several areas can be selected for cleaning, and DEEBOT will clean according to the sequence of the selected cleaning areas. If you have set the sequence of cleaning in cleaning sequence, DEEBOT will follow the set sequence first. Custom Cleaning (1) Custom cleaning can be used after the map is created. (2) One or more custom areas can be added in the map, and DEEBOT will clean based on the added custom areas.

2. Q: DEEBOT produces a strange/loud noise when cleaning.

A: (1) Remove the side brush, clean it and its bearing. When installing, the color of the side brush and the cartridge slot should be the same. (2) Remove the main brush cover and the main brush, remove the two end fittings and clean them. When installing the cover, make sure that the four sides snap into place. (3) Turn the universal wheel to check for smooth rotation. (If it does not rotate smoothly, remove the universal wheel and clean it) (4) When DEEBOT is powered off, press on both sides of each drive wheel and slide the wheel at the same time to check for rotation and then for spring back when released. Clean wheels after if necessary. (5) Clean the dust bin and filter unit regularly. (6) DEEBOT will produce a loud noise when cleaning with high suction power.

3. Q: DEEBOT will not turn around after hitting an obstacle when cleaning.

A: (1) Please remove the protective strips on both sides of the bumper before using DEEBOT for the first time. (2) Tap the left/middle/right part of the bumper to check whether it bounces back. (3) Observe when restarting cleaning in a different open environment. (Strong lighting, dark floors, etc. may affect DEEBOT's cleaning performance)

Emptying

1. Q: Why does DEEBOT N10 not start auto-emptying when it returns to the

docking station?

A: (1) Ensure the docking station is connected to the power source. (2) Ensure the docking station's power cord is connected and plugged into the socket correctly. (3) Please ensure that the disposable dust bag is fitted correctly. (4) Auto-emptying will not start when Do Not Disturb mode is enabled in the settings. (5 Auto-emptying will not start if you move DEEBOT back to the docking station by hand; it is only triggered when DEEBOT returns automatically. (6) The charging pins on the docking station may be dirty. Please try to clean with a dry paper towel and try again. If the problem persists, please contact ECOVACS Customer Service.

2. Q: Instructions for using Auto-Empty Station/Dust Bag

A: (1) Remove all protective film from the Auto-Empty Station before use. (2) After installing the base and main body of the Auto-Empty Station, position it against the wall on a level surface. Do not place any objects within 0.5 meters on either side of the station, or within 1.5 meters in front of it. (3) Plug the station's power cord into the socket. (4) Install the dust bag in the Auto-Empty Station.

3. Q: Waste in the DEEBOT dust compartment is not sucked up completely after automatic emptying is enabled

A: (1) Please check whether the dust bin installed is intended for use with the Auto-Empty Station. (2) On the underside of the special dust bin for use with the auto-empty station, check whether the two flaps are jammed by debris, and clear them if necessary. (3) Please replace any dust bags that have already been filled with waste. (4) If the App has already prompted you to replace the dust bag, please do so immediately.

Mopping

1. Q: Reservoir does not drain.

A: (1) Check that the reservoir and the cleaning pad plate are installed. After installing the cleaning pad plate, a voice prompt will inform you that the cleaning pad plate is installed. If there is no prompt: 1) Check that the cleaning pad plate is securely in place. 2) Check to see whether the small magnet has come off. (2) Restart the robot and check if water is coming out of the three water outlets on the underside of the robot after 10 seconds. If water does not come out, wipe the water outlets on the bottom of the robot with a cloth to prevent impurities from clogging the outlet.
