WHAT IS SHIATSU MASSAGE

Shiatsu is a form of pressure massage and one of the most important massaging techniques along with manual lymphatic drainage and reflexology. This form of physical therapy was developed in Japan but stems from traditional Chinese massage. Gentle stroking and beneficial pressure application techniques are used to awaken life forces and encourage them to flow through the body. The object of the massage is to ease tension and optimise the blood flow for a better well-being.

WHY DO YOU NEED A FOOT MASSAGE

Our feet are under great strain each and every day, making theme specially vulnerable to tenseness, muscle pains and hardened muscles. The NEKTECK Shiatsu Foot Massager lets you give your feet a treat, helping them to relax after a long day. Each massage can be combined with heat treatment. This promotes relaxation, improves the blood circulation and has a soothing effect on the muscles.

POWER PLUG INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fitin a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Carefully unpack the Nekteck Shiatsu Foot Massager and remove any packaging material.
2. Check the power cord and plug for any damage before use.
3. Find a flat and stable surface to place the massager on.
4. Sit comfortably in a chair and place your feet on the massager.
5. Turn on the massager and adjust the mode to your preference.
6. Start with a low intensity and increase gradually.
7. If you experience any discomfort or pain during use, discontinue use immediately.
8. Do not use the massager on open wounds, swollen or inflamed areas, or areas with varicose veins.
9. Keep the massager away from water and do not use it in damp or wet conditions.
10. Do not use the massager while sleeping or if you have a pacemaker or any other medical device implanted.
11. Please consult with your doctor before using the foot massager if you have any medical conditions, such as diabetes or circulatory problems.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. ERGONOMIC DESIGN
   The ergonomic shape fits the foot which makes it more effective relaxing. Help you relieve fatigue at any time.

2. SWITCHING ON AND OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
   Place the NEKTECK Shiatsu Foot Massager on the floor in front of a comfortable chair and plugit nto the main outlet. Sit down in a comfortable position.

   • Press Mode selection button to select massage mode and start foot massage, the indicator will light blue. Carefully put your feet on the foot pads.
   • Press the Mode selection button again to active the heat function if you like, the indicator will light red. The red light on the foot area will automatically turn off after about 15 minutes of operation. This is due to the over-heating protection built-in on the device. But it will automatically turn on when the temperature cools down.
   • Press the Mode selection button the third time to stop using the unit.

3. DURATION OF MASSAGE TREATMENT
   In general, you can allow approximately 10 to 15 minutes operation for each massage session, one to two times a day. Make sure the appliance is cooled down completely before using it again

CARE & MAINTENANCE

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

• Before cleaning the unit, make sure it is switched off and disconnected from the mains.
• Usingasoft, damp cloth only to clean the surface of unit after it is cooled down completely.
• Do not use any strong detergents for cleaning, e.g. scouring cream or other cleansing agents, as they may damage the surface of the unit.
• Store the unitin a cool, dry place.
• Take care when rolling up the mains lead to avoid damaging it.

DISPOSAL:

• This product should not be disposed of together with domestic waste. Please hand in all electrical or electronic devices at a municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner. Consult your municipal authority for information about disposal.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. Make sure the power outlet is connecting.
2. Unplug the power adapter from the massager and plug it back in.
3. If you have been using the massager for a long time, overheat protection may get activated. Turn the massager off and allow it to cool for at least 40 minutes, then turn on again.
