USER INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions carefully before you start using the device.

Intended use
The device is intended to transmit audio signals from a Personal Computer directly to supported hearing aids.

NOTE:
The device uses a USB A connector. If your computer is without an USB A configuration, you may use a converter.

HOW TO USE
Connect the device to your computer. (Illu. 1 and 2) Restart your hearing aids. The hearing aids  will then be in pairing mode for 3 minutes. (Illu. 3) Press and hold the button on the device until the light indicator is flashing blue, thenrelease. (Illu. 4) The SoundConnect is now in pairing mode. Make sure that the SoundConnect device and your hearing aids are within 1 m range of each other. The pairing sequence will start automatically. The light indicator will glow constant green, when the pairing is successfully completedand if sound is played from the computer the audio will be streamed to your hearing aids. (Illu. 5) The SoundConnect can oly be paired to one set of hearing aids. To pair a new set of hearing aids, you must perform the same steps and the new pairing will overwrite the  existing one.
NOTE

After pairing and you unplug the SoundConnect and reconnect the device, it will keep the pairing.

RANGE
In line of site up to 8 meters Outside in open air up to 5 meters

LIGHT INDICATIONS

  • Flashing white : Device has not been paired to hearing aids.
  • Flashing blue: Device is in pairing mode.
  • Flashing green: Device is searching for paired hearing aids.
  • Constant green (low intensity): Device is connected to hearings aids, but no audio is streamed.
  • Constant green (high intensity): Device is connected and streaming audio.
  • Constant orange : Device is in service mode, see troubleshooting.
  • Flashing red: Device is in error mode, see troubleshooting.

MAINTENANCE

Clean your device using a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any liquides or chemicals and do not immerse in liquids. When the device is not in use keep it in a dry location out of reach of children and pets. Never try to open or repair the device yourself. This may only be done by authorised technicians

TROUBLESHOOTING

| On Windows operation systems “Microsoft Teams” has its own audio settings that overrules the ones for the operating system| Go into settings in “Microsoft Teams”, choose “Devices” and set the “Speaker” option to the SoundConnect

WARNINGS

  • Your device should be stored and transported within the temperature of -20 °C to +55 °C (-4 °F to 131 °F) and humidity ranges of 10-95 % RH.
  • Your device is designed to operate at temperatures during use of -10 °C to +40 °C (14 °F to 104 °F), at humidity ranges of 10-95 % and under atmospheric pressures of 750-1060 mBar.
  • Risk of injury or electrical shock caused by damaged devices. Do not use obviously damaged devices and return them to point of sale.
  • Never dry your devices in the micro-wave or oven.
  • Keep the device protected from dust or external particles.
  • Do not dispose of this device into fire or a hot oven and do not crush or cut the device, as this can result in an explosion
  • Do not use or wear the device in mines or other areas with explosive gases, including while refuelling a vehicle.
  • Do not subject the device to extremely low air pressure, as this can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
