3 Installation

Method 1: Extending your Wi-Fi network using web UI

1) Power on the repeater
Plug the repeater into a power outlet near the router in the same room. Wait until the PWR LED indicator turns solid blue.

2) Extend your Wi-Fi network
Step 1. Connect your Wi-Fi device to the repeater’s SSID Prolink_XXXX (can be found on the product label). Ensure that the Mobile Data (if any) function of your Wi-Fi device is disabled.
Step 2. After connecting to the repeater’s SSID, you will be directed to the quick setup page. If not, start a web browser, and access http://dh5201.setup (please do type out http://).

Step 3. Create a login password for security (recommend) and click Next.

Step 4. Select your router’s Wi-Fi network (SSID) that you want to extend.

Step 5. Enter the password for the selected Wi-Fi network. Modify your repeater’s SSID (optional), and click Extend.

Wait until Extended successfully page appears.

3. Relocate the repeater
   Refer the relocation diagram on Page 7.
4. Connect to the Internet
   Connect your Wi-Fi devices to the repeater using the SSIDs set by yourself, or your router’s SSID with the suffix _EXT or 5GEXT if they are not changed, and using the Wi-Fi password which is the same as your router.

Method 2: Extending your Wi-Fi network using WPS

You can use Method 2 if your router has a WPS button, which may be indicated by . Otherwise, use Method 1.

1. Power on the repeater
   Plug the repeater into a power outlet near the router in the same room. Wait until the PWR LED indicator turns solid on.

2. Extend your Wi-Fi network
   Press the WPS button on the router. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the repeater.

Wait until the Signal LED on the repeater turns solid Blue or Red. If not, try Method 1.

3. Relocate the repeater
   Refer the relocation diagram on Page 7.

4. Connect to the Internet
   Connect your Wi-Fi devices to the repeater. The repeater’s SSIDs are your router’s SSID with the suffix _EXT OR SGEXT. The Wi-Fi password of the repeater is the same as your Wi-Fi router.

Tip: Relocate the repeater

• For better performance, plug the repeater into an outlet halfway between the router and the Wi-Fi dead zone.
• The location you choose must be within the range of your existing Wi-Fi network.
• Wait until the Signal LED turns solid Blue. If not, relocate the repeater closer to the router.
