  6. Press the C/F button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  7. Press the MODE key to cycle through measurements of EC, CF and PPM,
  8. Press the ight button to switch the light on or off.
  9. Turn off the meter after use.
  10. Rinse the pH and EC electrodes using tap water to minimise contamination.
  11. Replace the EC electrode’s protective cover.
  12. Fill the pH electrode’s protective cover with storage solution and replace the cover.
  13. You can also use the meter continuously by leaving the electrodes in the fluid that you would lie to test. Please note that when the meter is used continuously, it will requir calbrationon a regulr bass, £ lso mportanttoreguiartycheck fo lgae infestation and to carefully clean the electrodes when needed:

Calibrating the pH meter

  1. Ensure that the pH electrode is connected to the monitor.

  2. Turn on the meter.

  3. Remove the pH electrode’s protective cover.

  4. Gently clean the electrode with distilled water and dry it off.

  5. Insert the pH electrode in pH buffer solution pH 7.01 (make sure this is 25°C) and stir gently.

  6. Wait unti the value on the display s stable.

  7. Press and hold the pH CAL button for 5 seconds untilthe value of the buffer solutionis displayed. The meter will automatically recognise the buffer solution and calibrate itself. As soon as the meter switches back to the standard mode, calibration is complete!

  8. Gently clean the electrode with distilled water and dry it off.

  9. Insertthe pH electrode in an upright position in pH buffer solution
pH 4.00 (make sure this is 25°C) and stir gently.

  10. Wait until the value on the display is stable.

  11. Press and hold the pH CAL button for 5 seconds until the value of the buffer solutionis displayed.

  12. The meter will automatically recognise the buffer solution and calibrate itself. As soon as the meter switches back to the standard mode, calibration is complete Rinse the pH electrode in tap water.

  13. Pour some storage solution into the protective cover and replace it on the pH electrode.

  14. Please note that if the meter displays an error during calibration, either the buffer solution does not have the correct value or the electrode s dirty or worn and has to be replaced.

  15. If the meter displays NO CAL when you turn it on, calibrate both the pH and EC.

EC, CF, PPM calibration

  1. Make sure the electrode is connected

  2. Turn on the meter.

  3. Press the MODE key and select EC.

  4. Remove the EC electrode’s protective cover.

  5. The meter can be callbated using one of the following calbration solutons: EC 1.4, EC300rEC 128, Activate the EC calibration menu by pressing and holding the EC CAL key for 5 seconds. When you press and hold de EC CAL key, it will switch to one of the above values every 5 seconds. Release the button when the meter displays the selected calibration value. On the left-hand side of the screen, the meter will now display CAL next to EC and will calibrate.

  6. Immerse the EC electrode in the desired calibration solution

  7. Allow the reading to stabilse.

  8. Press and hold the EC CAL key until de meter displays the desired calibration value on the screen. This will be 5, 10 or 15 seconds for a calibration value of EC 1.4.
EC 3.0 0r EC 12.8.0n the left-hand side of the screen, the meter will now display CAL and will cabrate. As so0n as the meter switches back to the standard mode, calibration is complete.

  9. Rinse the electrode with tap water, and dry it with filter-paper.

  10. Replace the EC electrode’s protective cover.

  11. If the meter displays NO CAL when you tun it on, calibrate both the pH and EC.

Important

Please make sure to always calibrate the meter:

  • if the electrode has been replaced;
  • ifthe meter was last used over a month ago;
  • if the meteris used on a regular basis;
  • if high precision s required.

Comments

  • Gently str the meter during use. Do not let bubbles form on the electrodes:
  • I case of abnormal phenomena such as high measured devation, blinking measured value, no zero resetting, etc. please immerse the electrode i alcohol for cleaning
  • I you are using the meter without the power adaptor and the meter cannot be switched on, or the display fades, please connect the power adaptor to the power supply outlet. It will charge up the battery. You can continue using the meter while the battery charges.

Warning

  • Always make sure that there are no air bubbles present in the solution during calibration, This could affect the measurements.

  • Make sure the calibration solution is 25 °C when calibrating the meter. Failure to do s0 may affect the result of the calibration.

  • NEVER store the pi electrode n distled water.

  • NEVER immerse the H electroden i, poteins orsuspended soids thatleave a layer on the glass bulb.

  • NEVER soak the pH electrode in RO (Reverse Osmosis), disilled or de-ionised water.
    Pure water alters the chemistry
of the reference liquid so that it no longer works.

  • NEVER place a cold pH electrode in hot fluid (or vice versal. Any sudden changes of temperature may break the glass and permanently damage the pen. Broken glass is not covered by the warranty.

  •  lease ake care NEVER 10 bump th giass pH electrode nfo anything This might break the glass bulb on the outside of the internal glass tube. Broken glass is not covered by the warranty.

  • Re-activate the pH electrode if the protective cover has been without storage solution, or if the pH electrode has not been used for a long period of time. You can do this by immersing it into regular tap water for several hours.

  • Avoid placing the meter near ballasts or any other electrical appliances. Force fields may affect the readings.

  • Please note that if the monitor is used in a growing area, the display light may disrupt your crops’ circadian rhythm. Please take this into account.

Warranty

“This meter is warranted from alldefects in material and manufacturing for a period of ane year from the date of purchase. The pH electrode is warranted for a period of six months. If during this period any parts need reparation or replacement and the damage
s not due to incorrect operation by the user, please send the parts to the dealer or to Us.
and the repair will e free of charge. Please refer to the exclusion warning.
