Warning
- Always make sure that there are no air bubbles present in the solution during calibration. This could affect the measurements.
- If the EC value does not drop to 0, immerse the electrode in ethyl alcohol and shake gently for 5 to 10 seconds.
- Make sure the calibration solution is 25°C when calibrating the meter. Failure to do so may affect the result of the calibration.
- Avoid placing the meter near ballasts or any other electrical appliances Force fields may affect the readings.
- If during calibration the EC value keeps rising or dropping slowly and does not stabilize, please replace the batteries and calibrate the meter. Bad batteries or low power levels may influence the measurement results.
Replacing the batteries
If the battery indicator at the top right of the display is activated, or if
the display dims, please replace the batteries. To do so, unscrew the top and
replace the 3 x 1.5 Volt AG-13 button cell batteries.
