Assembly Instructions

Item No: FR41906

start here

  1. Find a clear area in which you can work.
  2. Unpack fixture and glass from carton.
  3. Carefully review instructions prior to assembly.

Shut off electrical current before starting. If the fixture you are replacing is turned on and off by a wall switch, simply turn the switch off. If not, remove the appropriate fuse (or open the circuit breakers) until the fixture is dead.• DO NOT restore current – either by fuse, breaker, or switch -until the new fixture is completely wired and in place.

  1. To begin assembly determine the desired height the pendant ill be installed.
  2. The fixture is supplied with assorted stem sizes. Determine what combinations of stems are needed to achieve desired length – see Drawing 1.
  3. Slip stems over wire and thread first stem into coupler (C) locate the top of the fixture crossbar (B), Repeat this process until all destems are threaded together. Repeat process for opposite side, making sure like stems are installed. No wiring is required for this side.
  4. Slip wire through center hole of loop (L) and thread loop onto the top of the last stem installed. Install loop on opposite side make sure loops are parallel to each other.

Mounting Instructions

  1. Assemble appropriate stems for fixture together and make connections between stems and the main fixture body
  2. Next use quick connector (L) to secure stem loop to canopy loop
  3. Attach mounting strap (A) to junction box using two 8-32 screws (B) NOT PROVIDED. Make sure the head of the ground screw is facing down – see DRAWING 1.
  4. Hook inspection cable to mounting strap to help support the weight of the fixture during wiring
  5. Make wiring connections using IS-18 on the next page
  6. Now thread tube (C) into center of mounting strap (A) approximately 1/2”
  7. Now lift canopy (F) toward ceiling and thread hex nut (D) and knob (K) to secure canopy in place
  8. Refer to the next page for shade assembly

SAFETY WARNING: READ WIRING AND GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS (I.S. 18) AND ANY ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONS. TURN POWER SUPPLY OFF DURING INSTALLATION. IF NEW WIRING IS REQUIRED, CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN OR LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR CODE REQUIREMENTS.

  1. Lamp fixture using appropriate G9 base bulb (4)
  2. Place glass shade (3) over socket (5) and twist and turn to lock into place
  3. Repeat steps1 and 2 for the rest of the shades.

Indoor Fixtures

  1. Connect positive supply wire (A ) (typically black or the smooth, unmarked side of the two-conductor cord) to positive fixture lead (B ) with appropriately sized twist on connector – see Drawings 1 o r 2.
  2. Connect negative supply wire C) (typically white or the ribbed , marked side of the two-conductor cord) to negative fixture lead D).
  3. Please refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections

Outdoor Fixtures

  1. Connect positive supply wire A) (typically black or the smooth unmarked side of the two-conductor cord) to positive fixture lead B) with appropriately sized twist on connector — see Drawings or 3.

  2. Connect negative supply wire C) (typically white or the ribbed , marked side of the two-conductor cord) to negative fixture lead D).

  3. Cove r open end of connector s with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal.
If installing a wall mount fixture, use caulk to seal gaps between the fixture mounting plate (backplate) and the wall. This will help prevent water from entering the out let box . If the wall sur face is lap siding, use caulk and a fixture mounting plat form specially.

  4. Please refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections.

Flush Mount Fixtures
For positive ground ing in a 3-wire electrical system, fasten the fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to the fixture mounting strap (M ) with the ground screw (S) – see Drawing 1.
Note: On straps for screw supported fixtures, first install the two mounting screws in strap. Any remaining tapped hole may be used for the ground screw.

Chain Hung Fixtures
Loop fixture ground wire ( E ) (typically copper or green plastic-coated) under the head of the ground screw ( S ) on fixture mounting strap (M ) and connect to the loose end of the fixture ground wire directly to the ground wire of the building system with appropriately sized twist-on connectors – see Drawing 2.

Post-Mount Fixtures
Connect fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to power supply ground with appropriately sized twist-on connector inside post. Cove r open end of connector with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal – see Drawing 3.
