Product Information

The SWRN S-63F is a radio replacement module designed for select NISSAN SENTRA vehicles manufactured in 2019 and onwards without CarPlay functionality. It allows for the retention of factory Medium Speed CAN-Data Bus Steering Wheel Controls and features various outputs and adapters to retain the functionality of the vehicle’s audio system.

The product includes the SWRNS-63F module, SWRNS-63F harness, antenna adapter, SWC cables, and USB retention cable. It is pre-programmed to retain the factory Bose amplifier, USB and auxiliary input, and factory camera (excluding 360 panoramic camera). Additionally, it provides outputs for parking brake and reverse gear.

Product Usage Instructions

Installation Diagram for Non-Amplified Vehicles

  • +12V Constant: Connect the Yellow wire to a constant +12V power source.
  • +12V ACC: Connect the Red wire to a +12V accessory power source.
  • Ground: Connect the Black wire to a suitable ground connection.
  • Illumination (+): Connect the Orange wire to the positive side of the vehicle’s illumination circuit.
  • Illumination (-): Connect the Orange/White wire to the negative side of the vehicle’s illumination circuit.
  • Amp Turn On: Connect the Blue/White wire to the amplifier turn-on lead.
  • Speaker Connections: Connect the respective colored wires to their corresponding speaker terminals.
  • VSS (Vehicle Speed Signal): Connect the Brown/White wire to the vehicle’s VSS wire.
  • Reverse Gear Output: Connect the Violet/White wire to the vehicle’s reverse gear wire.
  • Ignition Power Output: Connect the Red/Black wire to the vehicle’s ignition power wire.
  • Chassis Ground: Connect the Black wire with a ring terminal to a suitable chassis ground.
  • Audio Input: Connect the Red/White RCA cable to the factory AUX input of the aftermarket radio.
  • 12v to 6v Converter: Connect the Yellow RCA cable to retain the OE camera signal.

SWC Cables

  • Use the provided 3.5MM SWC cables (Option A or B) based on your radio model.
  • Plug the selected cable into the 4-pin port on the module. Refer to the DIP SWITCH SETTINGS section for proper configuration.

  • Refer to the table to set the DIP switches based on your aftermarket radio brand.

SWC Module DIP Switch

  • Set the DIP switches on the module according to your specific requirements.
  • Refer to the aftermarket radio’s manual to determine if SWC buttons need to be programmed.

  • ACC Power Output Note: For vehicles equipped with intellegent key systems (Push Start Button)
  • +12 V accessory red wire may not activate radio, must use ignition power output (Red/Black wire) instead.

SWC MODULE DIP SWITCH

NOTE: For Atoto, Blaupunkt, Dual, Farenheit, Nakamichi, Power Acoustik, Soundstream, and most off-brand radios, check the aftermarket radio’s manual to see if the SWC buttons need to be programmed.

4-PIN SWC CABLE

Use the proper 3.5MM to 4-Pin SWC cable for the aftermarket radio you are using.

  • OPTION A is used for ALPINE, CLARION, JVC, and KENWOOD units (Blue/Yellow wire is attached)
  • OPTION IS UNER, SONY, BUNDSTREAM aNd MOSt OF BraNd REINSEN, POWER ACOUSTIK

NOTE: Cap or insulate the 3.5mm plug or Blue/Yellow wire if not being used.

For aftermarket radios that have wires for SWC connections, cut off the 3.5mm plug on the Crux SWC Cable (option B) and connect the SWC wires as follows:

  • Note that there are some radios that only have SWC1 and SWC2, in this case “shield” does not need to be connected.

NOTE: Some SWC functions might not be retained for the following radio series:

  • Planet Audio P9900CPA, Jensen CAR 710, Atoto F7, and similar radios of these brands.

DIP switch settings for Pioneer receivers:

  • Location of the switch may vary on the Interface (Comer or Middle).

  • Set DIP switch to “3V3” position for support of NEW generation Pioneer steering wheel button control.
  • Set DIP switch to “5V” position for support of OLD generation Pioneer steering wheel button control.
