Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before operating the machine, ensure that a safety check has
been completed and signed off. If not, contact a Manager or setter
    before switching the machine on.

  2. Before starting the change, make sure the heat temperatures are
running at the set value. Purge out a small amount of ABS before
    extraction.

  3. Crack the 4, 16mm Allen bolts on the head and remove them. This
will release the ring and heater band attached to the head. Remove
the thermocouple and the plug attached to the heater band. Place
the ring on the floor to cool, being careful not to damage the
    heater band or thermocouple.

  4. Loosen off the 4, 19mm bolts attached to the head using the
Allen key and bar supplied. This will release the die. Undo the
16mm Allen bolt on the inside of the core to release it from the
spider. Ensure gloves and arm bands are used.

  5. Remove the die and core from the spider and take them to the
workbench. Use the brass tools supplied to remove any existing ABS
from the die. Ensure gloves and arm bands are used.

  6. Insert the next core and attach it to the spider using the 16mm
Allen key and bar. Insert the next die into the head and attach it
using the heater band and the 4, 16mm bolts. Once tight, tighten
the 4, 19mm bolts on the head. Insert the plug into the heater band
and wait for 1.5 hours for the die/core to heat. Ensure gloves and
    arm bands are used.

  7. Do not use the machine unless trained and authorized by a
    Manager.
