Product Information

The Accessory Brake Light LED Ring is a patented pending product manufactured by Omix-Ada. The part number for this accessory is 11585.04. It is designed to be installed on vehicles, specifically the Jeep Wrangler models. Please note that the LED Ring is not a
DOT approved third brake light, so it is important to check with state and federal ordinances regarding third brake light use before installation.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Remove the spare tire from the vehicle. It is recommended to have another person assist in lifting the tire off the tire mount.
  2. Attach the Accessory Brake Light to the spare tire mount by sliding it over the wheel studs.
  3. If installing on a 2007 to 2017 Wrangler, proceed to Step 3. If installing on an earlier model, skip to Step 7.
  4. Open the tailgate and use a T-20 Torx bit to remove the four screws attaching the third brake light to the factory tire mount.
  5. Pull the third brake light away from the tire mount and remove the electrical connector by depressing the tab. Set the third brake light aside for later use.
  6. Connect the Accessory Brake Light plug to the factory’s third brake light harness.
  7. If installing on a 2007 to 2017 Wrangler, reattach the factory third brake light to the tire mount. Skip to Step 10.
  8. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal. Unsheathe the factory’s third brake light wires and cut and strip both ends.
  9. Cut the Accessory Brake Light plug three inches from the end and strip the wires on the Accessory Brake Light.
  10. Using the supplied butt connectors, splice the factory third brake light and Accessory Brake Light wires in one end and the factory wiring in the other end. Reconnect the battery.
  11. Install the spare tire and torque the lug nuts to factory specifications. Depress the brake pedal and check for brake light functionality.
