Typecase B0B8N6874M Keyboard for Kindle Fire HD
OVERVIEW
Keyboard is set in Android mode as default.
To change mode:
- Hold ‘Fn’ and press ‘Q’ for Android mode.
- Hold ‘Fn’ and press ‘W’ for Windows mode.
- Hold ‘Fn’ and press ‘E’ for iOS mode.

CHARGING

Move switch to the “ON” position (see a diagram above for ON/OFF switch location). If charging indicator is flashing red, please charge the keyboard.

Insert the smaller end of the charging cable into the keyboard’s micro-USB charging port and the larger end into your Tablet’s USB power adapter. The power indicator turns off when your keyboard is fully charged (note: average charging time is 2 to 4 hours).
Tablet adapters
CONNECT TO ANDROID DEVICE
A) First time pairing:

Turn ON keyboard’s Bluetooth.

Switch the on /off controller.

Keyboard will identify Bluetooth signal automatically for your 1st device.

For your 2nd device, Press the ‘Connect’ button to turn keyboard Bluetooth on (the Bluetooth light will blink in blue).

Turn On Tablet’s Bluetooth and connect.

On Tablet, go to Setting; Connection Devices

Turn on Bluetooth, tap “Pair new device”, and search for “Bluetooth Keyboard” in available devices;

Tap “Bluetooth Keyboard” then “PAIR” on your device – the pairing process is considered complete after” Currently Connected” indicator appears (see picture below)
B) Future pairings:
After successful first-time pairing, your tablet will automatically remember the keyboard. To connect again, please turn on Bluetooth on both tablet and keyboard. Device should automatically connect. If it does not, please tap it in Previously Connected Devices list to establish connection.

Brightness / color changing modes
- Press to adjust backlight brightness levels of one color.
- Press to turn on backlight, then press for different color backlight.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the keyboard is not working correctly, please check the following:
- The Bluetooth function on the tablet (or other Bluetooth devices) is enabled;
- The Bluetooth keyboard is within 33 feet;
- The Bluetooth keyboard is charged. If you want to setting the keyboard shortcuts, please try to change Wireless keyboard’s settings on your tablet:
- Connect your tablet to Bluetooth Keyboard;
- Go to tablet Settings app > Device Options > Keyboard & Language > Physical Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts Helper
- Set the shortcuts as you expected, please refer to the picture below:

Make sure the keyboard is turned on (the battery indicator is illuminated);

Ensure the keyboard is fully charged;

Make sure the Bluetooth in your device (eg tablet, iPad, table pc) is turned on;

Press the key “Connect” and check the Bluetooth status;

Make sure a keyboard has already paired via Bluetooth.
If failed to connect with Bluetooth, please try the following steps:- Delete Bluetooth device on your tablet;
- Switch off the Bluetooth function on your tablet;
- Reboot the tablet;
- Turn on the Bluetooth on your tablet;
- Switch the keyboard off and on;
- Repeat the steps described on page 2 and 3 to pair the keyboard;

Press Light or Color button to recall backlight function.
