Eagle Lights LEV-1 Speedshift Shorty Brake and Clutch Lever Set

Product Information

The product is an aftermarket clutch and brake lever set manufactured by Eagle Lights LLC. These levers are designed to replace the original levers on a motorcycle.

Installation Steps:

  1. Please ensure you have read through the instructions and understand them clearly before attempting the installation.
  2. WARNING! To prevent possible electrical shock, disconnect the negative battery terminal before installing this product. Park the bike on a level surface.
  3. Using a pair of pliers, remove the c-clip from the bottom of both the clutch side and brake levers. Set aside the retaining C-clips.
  4. Unclip the clutch lever cable from the frame and slide up the sheathing from the clutch lever. Decouple the clutch wire with pliers.
  5. Remove the guide pin from the clutch side.
  6. Maneuver the wire through the channel and then to the right to remove the clutch lever. Remove the plate from the clutch lever to access the cable end.
  7. Install the new clutch side lever. Take the plate from the original lever, place the clutch side wire through the new lever, and install the plate to hold the clutch wire. Install the new clutch lever on the bike and reinstall the guide pin.
  8. Reinstall the c-clip on the bottom of the guide pin on the clutch side.
  9. Compress the spring slightly and press in the red button to reconnect the clutch release. Replace the sheath over the clutch cover and reclip the clutch wire to the frame.
  10. On the brake side, remove the screws on top and bottom that hold the cover for the kill switch. Remove the guide pin from the brake lever.
  11. Maneuver the brake lever out of the channel, and if necessary, rotate the bottom part of the kill switch to fully remove the brake lever.
  12. Install the new brake lever and replace the guide pin.
  13. Reinstall the top of the kill switch cover and use screws to connect both panels.
  14. Reinstall the c-clip on the brake lever guide pin.

WARNING!

Remove the c-clip on the bottom of both the clutch side and brake levers using a pair of pliers. Place retaining c-clips to the side.

  • Unclip the clutch lever cable from the frame. Place the clip to the side.
  • Slide up the sheathing from the clutch lever.
  • Decouple clutch wire with pliers.
  • The red block should be pushed out as shown.
  • Remove the guide pin from the clutch side.
  • Remove the clutch lever by maneuvering the wire through the channel and then to the right to pull both the wire and lever off.
  • Remove plate from clutch lever to access the cable end.
  • Install the new clutch side lever. Take the plate from the original lever, place the clutch side wire through the new lever and install the plate from the previous step to hold the clutch wire.
  • Install the new clutch lever on the bike.
  • Install the guide pin removed previously
  • Reinstall the c-clip on the bottom of the guide pin on the clutch side.
  • Compress the spring slightly and press in the red button to reconnect the clutch release.
  • Replace the sheath over the clutch cover.
  • Reclip the clutch wire to the frame.
  • Go to the brake side. Remove screws on top and bottom that hold the cover for the kill switch
  • Remove the guide pin from the brake lever.
  • Maneuver the brake lever out of the channel. The bottom part of the kill switch may need to be rotated to fully remove the brake lever
  • Install the new brake lever.
  • Reinstall the top of the kill switch cover. Use screws to connect both panels together.
  • Reinstall the C-clip on the brake lever guide pin
