Before using the washing machine, it is important to follow safety and installation instructions. Some key points to check before using the machine include ensuring that the power cord is properly connected to an electrical outlet, the machine is leveled, lock nuts on leveling legs are tightened, front shipping brace and rear shipping bolts have been removed, cold and hot water supply are properly connected with no leaks, and the drain hose is securely fastened without any kinks. Additionally, it is recommended to wipe out the wash drum using an all-purpose cleaner or detergent and water solution.
When preparing laundry for washing, it is advised to follow the manufacturer’s care label. Other tips for optimal fabric care include emptying pockets and cuffs, mending rips and tears, closing zippers and fastening hooks, putting small items in a mesh bag, checking for colorfastness, sorting items by color, fabric, temperature, soil level, and level of lint attraction, and pretreating stains individually.

When loading laundry into the machine, it is recommended to load items loosely and determine the load size based on the bulk of the load rather than its weight. The entire wash drum can be filled without hesitation. To balance the load, small and large items can be washed together. For large, bulky items like blankets and comforters, it is suggested to use the Bedding cycle to minimize wear.
Water temperature settings for the machine include Hot, Warm, Cool, and Cold. The usage recommendations for each temperature setting are provided for different types of items and fabrics.
For adding detergent, it is recommended to use HE (High-Efficiency) detergent. The product manual also includes information on using non-HE detergent and provides a logo to look for. The manual specifies four compartments for adding different types of detergents: Main Wash Detergent, Liquid Bleach, Fabric Softener, and Pre-Wash Detergent.
The product manual also provides information on cleaning the washer, performing preventative maintenance, handling out-of-balance loads, and understanding error codes.

Troubleshooting

Washer Symptom Possible Causes / Solutions

Too many suds –

Over-sudsing

o     Laundry load may be overloaded. Refer to Loading Laundry.

Noises| o     Make sure the washer is level. Uneven levelling can cause noise/vibration.

o     Some sounds are normal, such as clicking noise during the following: door locks/unlocks, balance ring during

cycle agitation, or the balance balls clicking together when rotating the tub slowly.

Vibration / Moves Slightly| o     Make sure the washer is level. Uneven levelling can cause noise/vibration.

o     Make sure shipping materials have been removed.

o     Make sure washer is installed on a solid, sturdy and level floor. The washer should not be installed on carpeting, soft tile, or other weakly supported structures.

o     Make sure rubber feet are installed on all four levelling legs.

o     Try placing the washer near a corner of the room or near an external structural support wall.

Water leaks| o     Check that fill hoses are properly installed on faucets and washer’s water mixing valve.

o     Check the condition of fill hoses. Replace fill hoses every five years.

o     Check the condition of rubber door gasket for tears or holes.

o     Make sure drain receptacle is not clogged. Check the plumbing in the laundry area.

o     Laundry load may be over-sudsing; use high efficiency (HE) detergent.

o     Laundry load may be overloaded. Refer to Loading Laundry.

o     Make sure the outside perimeter of the door glass where seal contacts glass is clean.

Unresponsive control pad| o     Make sure the Control Lock feature is off. If on, the Control Lock light will be lit.

o     Press and hold Signal Keypad for three seconds to turn off.

Water draining abnormally slow| o  The washer has a pump that may collect foreign objects and may need to be cleaned. To clean, refer to the

Cleaning Foreign Object Trap section in the User’s Guide.
