DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS

BURNHARD-S0G010A5P2-KLAPP-Thermometer-fig-2

  1. Folding thermometer
  2. Leather case
  3. Wrist strap
  4. USB cable (USB type A to USB type C)

THERMOMETER

This thermometer has a built-in probe. It has a button on the side with several functions. With this button, you can switch the temperature range (°C/° F) and measure the core temperature of the food you are grilling at different points. There is also a waterproof USB-C port on the side. You can attach the wrist strap to the bottom. The magnets in the thermometer allow you to attach it to metal surfaces.

PROBE

The thermometer will turn on automatically once the probe has been unfolded. You can unfold the probe up to 180°. The probe performs measurements with an accuracy of approx. +/-1 °C (+/-1,8 ° F). The thin, 4.5 cm-long tip leaves the smallest possible puncture point in the food.

DISPLAY

The display is not visible when the device is switched off. A temperature range from -50 °C (-58 ° F) to 300 °C (572 ° F) is displayed during the measurement. Thanks to the built-in gravity sensors in the thermometer, the display always rotates 180 ° to the appropriate side. The thermometer will automatically switch to idle mode after 30 seconds.

  1. When the symbol lights up, the last core temperature measurement will be displayed.
  2. When the symbol lights up, the measured temperature is above 50 °C / 12 2 ° F.
  3. Displays the measured temperature.
  4. Displays the battery status. The symbol will start blinking once the battery drops below 15%.
  5. Displays the temperature range (°C/° F).
  6. Displays one decimal place up to a measured temperature of 100 °C/212 ° F.

BUTTON

 This button allows you to:

  • Lock the last measured temperature
  • Change temperature unit (°Cl°F)
  • Calibrate/adjust

PRODUCT OPERATION

SWITCH ON THERMOMETER

  • Unfold the probe from the casing.
    • The thermometer will turn on automatically.

CHANGE TEMPERATURE UNIT

  • Press and hold for 3 seconds.
    • The temperature unit of the thermometer will change between °C and 0F.

MEASURING THE TEMPERATURE OF GRILLED FOODS

  1. Insert the thin tip of the probe into the food you are grilling.

    • The measurement takes approx. 1 to 2 seconds.
    • The display will show the temperature of the grilled food.
  2. Once you have measured the temperature, remove the thermometer from the item.
    Caution
Damage to device caused by overheating.

    • Never leave the thermometer in the food too long while it is on the grill.

LOCK MEASURED TEMPERATURE
Record the measured temperature on the display to read it later.

  1. Insert the thermometer into the grilled food.
  2. Briefly press to lock the temperature.
    • The thermometer shows the last temperature measured.
  3. Recall the temperature by briefly pressing

CHARGING THE THERMOMETER

  1. Open the charging port on the thermometer.
  2. Connect the thermometer to the USB cable.
    • The thermometer will start charging. The charging process takes between 1.5 and 6.5 hours, depending on the power supply used.

CALIBRATION/ADJUSTMENT
The thermometer is calibrated at the factory. Only adjust the thermometer if it measures the temperature incorrectly. Calibrating the thermometer will influence the temperature measurement. When calibrating, the thermometer uses the last set temperature range (°C/° F).

  1. Press and hold and pull the probe out of the casing.
    • The display will read CAL.
  2. To set the value, press repeatedly until the desired value is displayed. The range is between +/- 3 °C (+/- 5 ° F). If you hold down the values will scroll through quickly.
  3. Wait until the display stops flashing. The calibration/adjustment is completed.
    • The thermometer will automatically switch to operating mode.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Caution

  • Risk of burns. The probe may get very hot.
