Product Information

The product is a lighting fixture manufactured by LIVEX. It comes with a mounting plate, fixture wires (black, white, and green), and house wires (black, white, and green or bare copper). The fixture is designed to be installed on a junction box.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Before starting the installation, make sure to shut off the power at the fuse or circuit breaker.
2. Remove the old fixture and all hardware from the junction box.
3. Unpack the new fixture and lay out all the parts in a clear area. Take care not to lose any small parts required for installation.
4. Attach the mounting plate to the junction box using the two junction screws provided.
5. Identify the fixture wires and house wires:
   • Fixture Wires:
   • Black – Fixture wire for hot connection.
   • White – Fixture wire for neutral connection.
   • Green – Fixture wire for ground connection.
   • House Wires:
   • Black – House wire for hot connection.
   • White – House wire for neutral connection.
   • Green or Bare Copper – House wire for ground connection.
6. Connect the wires as follows:
   • Connect the fixture’s black wire to the house’s black wire (hot).
   • Connect the fixture’s white wire to the house’s white wire (neutral).
   • Connect the fixture’s green wire to the house’s green or bare copper wire (ground).
7. The installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.

ASSEMBLING & INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

• The drawing shown may not exactly match the product enclosed.
• However, the installation instructions do apply to this product.

ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE (Fig.1)

1. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker box. Remove old fixture and all hardware from Junction Box.
2. Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts in a clear area. Be careful not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
3. Attach the mounting plate to the Junction Box with the two junction box screws as shown. The side of the mounting plate marked “GND” must face out. The junction box is not included.
4. While holding the lamp body towards the ceiling, connect the electrical wires as Shown in Fig.2, making sure that all wire nuts are secured. You may have to wrap the connections with electrical tape. If your junction box has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the lamp body ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the lamp body’s ground wire directly to the mounting plate with the green screw provided. After wires are connected, tuck them carefully inside the Junction Box.
5. Install the lamp body’s canopy onto the junction box, align the side screw hole on the mounting plate with the mounting holes in the canopy, and lock it securely with the mounting screws.
6. Install the light bulb(not included) in accordance with the fixture’s specifications.

NOTE: DO NOT EXCEED THE SPECIFIED WATTAGE!

Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.
