Product Usage Instructions

  • Before starting the installation, thoroughly read and understand all the instructions provided.
  • Park the motorcycle on a hard, level surface and turn off the ignition.
  • Clean the bottom portion of the front fender where the extension will be installed using glass cleaner or a mild solvent. Ensure that all wax, oily  residue, and other contaminants are removed to ensure proper adhesion.

  • Remove all adhesive backing from the inside of the fender extension.
  • Align the extension with the reference marks made earlier and firmly press it onto the cleaned surface of the front fender.

STRICTLY OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES IN ORDER TO USE THE PRODUCT PROPERLY AND AVOID POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ACCIDENTS.

  • STEP 1 Read and understand all steps in the instructions before starting the installation. Park the motorcycle on a hard, level surface and turn off the ignition.
  • STEP 2 Thoroughly clean the bottom portion of the front fender where the extension will be installed, with glass cleaner or other mild solvent. All wax, oily residue etc. must be removed or the adhesive may not hold to its full potential.

AT TENTION! Ensure the area of installation is free of grease, oil, dirt or other debris to ensure proper adhesion. Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any parts lost due to improper installation.

  • STEP 3 Trial fit and make installation reference marks. See PIC.1.

NOTE Th: ere are two vertical tabs that are cast into the back-side of the fender extension. These are fender stops. Both tabs should contact the bottom lip of the fender to insure a straight, level orientation. We suggest leaving the adhesive backing on the fender extension and holding the extension into place; this will allow slight movement from side to side so the extension can be positioned to line up with the contour of the fender on both sides. When you are satisfied with the positioning of the extension, hold it firmly in place and mark the (larger) hole locations as well as along the top of the fender extension with a non permanent fine timap r.ker

ATTENTION! If your bike was previously equipped with a Honda fender extension the holes are already drilled, but they will be too large. Two stepped reducing spacers are included. These spacers may be inserted into these holes from the inside of the fender to reduce those size .

ATTENTION! The adhesive will not bond correctly if applied at temperatures less than 50°F. Do not attempt this installation in temperatures less than 50°F.

  • STEP 4   Rub the adhesive backing with your finger nail to activate the adhesive. Remove all adhesive backing from the inside of the fender extension.

NOTE: You must be very careful during the installation of the extension. The adhesive is very strong and is intended for a one-time, permanent, installation. Work slowly and precisely. Using the marks you made on the fender, as well as the fender stops inside the extension, set the extension in place and apply firm pressure for one full minute to insure a good, complete adhesive bond.

  • STEP 5 While holding the sides of the fender extension tightly against the fender, use the larger holes in each side of the extension as a template to drill the 7/32” mounting holes. The smaller holes on each side are for indexing pins only – do not drill any holes in these locations.

CAUTION! To prevent the tire from being punctured, place something (small piece of wood) between the tire and the fender.

  • STEP 6   Insert the studs on the two end caps into the holes you just drilled. The small indexing pins will insert into the smaller of the two holes on each side of the extension. Secure the end caps into place with the included flat washers, and 10-24 Nylock nuts. Do not over torque these nuts.
