WITH REGARD TO THIS MANUAL

This appliance is made in conformity with appropriate European Regulations in force, to protect the user wherever possible from potential hazards. Carefully read this manual before use. Only use this appliance for the purpose it is designed for in order to prevent accidents and damage. Keep this manual close by for future consultation. Should you decide to give this appliance to other people, please remember to also include these instructions.

READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

  • • This appliance has been designed for household and similar uses only, such as:
    • in cooking areas used by the personnel of shops, offices, and other professional environments;
    • in farms;
    • guests of hotels, motels, and other residential environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments.
  • We decline any responsibility resulting from misuse or any use other than those covered in this booklet.
  • The appliance complies with Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 of 27/10/2004 on the materials in contact with food.
  • In order not to compromise the appliance safety, use only original spare parts and accessories approved by the manufacturer.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and older, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who lack experience and knowledge, only if they are supervised by a responsible person or if they have been made aware and understood the instructions regarding the safe use of the appliance and the hazards involved during use.
  • Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are at least 8 years old and supervised.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance or its components.
  • Do not leave the packaging near children because it is potentially dangerous.
  • Always keep the appliance and the power cord out of the reach of children under the age of 8 years old.
  • Prevent children from grabbing the power cord, as this may cause the appliance to fall down.
  • In the event this appliance shall be disposed of, it is suggested to cut off the power cord. It is also recommended to make all potentially dangerous components, including the power cord, harmless to prevent personal injury, especially for children who could use the appliance as a game.
  • Do not use the appliance if the power cord or the plug are damaged, or if the appliance is faulty. To prevent any accident, all repairs, including the power cord replacement, shall be only carried out by an Authorised Service Centre or by similarly qualified personnel.
  • Any changes to this product that have not been expressly authorized by the manufacturer may compromise safety and lead to the user’s guarantee being void.
  • If you decide to use an extension cord, it shall be suitable for the appliance power, to prevent the operator from any hazard and to preserve the safety of the working environment.
  • Before plugging the appliance into the mains socket, ensure the voltage shown on the rating plate matches the local voltage supply
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in.
  • When the appliance is not in use, unplug it from the main socket.
  • Unplug the appliance before any cleaning or maintenance operation.
  • Always unplug the power cord before storing the appliance. Wait for hot parts to cool down.
  • If you have to leave, even for a short period of time, turn off the appliance and always unplug the electrical power cord.
  • Do not plunge the appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Do not use the appliance if your hands are wet or if you are barefoot.
  • Always make sure that your hands are thoroughly dry before adjusting the control knob or before touching the power plug or power connections.
  • The appliance and the power cord shall not touch hot surfaces.
  • Never put the appliance on or near gas stoves or electric hobs.
  • Do not pull the power cord to unplug the appliance.
  • The appliance shall only be cleaned with a non-abrasive, slightly damped cloth after unplugging the appliance and all its parts cool down. Never use solvents, as they may damage the plastic parts.
  • Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  • Never exceed the maximum/minimum level indicated on the blender jar.
  • Do not operate the appliance when empty.
  • Never use the blender jar without liquids, except for ice crush. Always add a suitable amount of liquid ingredients.
  • Do not place utensils or metal objects into the jars to avoid damaging the appliance.
  • Do not use the appliance if the blades are damaged.
  • Wait for hot ingredients to cool down before placing them into the appliance.
  • When using the blender jar, hot liquid and steam may come out of the appliance. Keep your hands and face away from the lid to avoid possible bums.
  • Never blend hot liquids using the ice crush function.
  • Before blending warm liquids, always remove the blender lid. Never add hot liquids to the blender.
  • The blender jar and the lid might get hot during use. Be careful when touching hot parts. Use gloves or clothes to avoid the danger of burns.
  • To prevent injuries or damage to the appliance, always keep your hands and utensils away from moving parts.
  • Always unplug the appliance and wait for the blades to stop moving completely before installing or removing single components.
  • Do not use the appliance to chop excessively hard foods (for example, meat on the bone) or excessive quantities of food.
  • Never blend frozen ingredients.
  • Make sure the lid is correctly locked in place before operating the appliance.
  • Never place your hands inside the jar while the appliance is operational.
  • Blades are sharp: handle with care both during assembly, disassembly and cleaning operations.
  • Before removing the lid and the jar, always wait for the blades to stop moving completely and unplug the appliance from the mains socket.
  • During use, place the appliance on a horizontal and well-lit-up surface.
  • Do not leave the appliance exposed to weathering (rain, sun, etc).

DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before using the appliance, it is recommended to clean all removable parts that will in contact with food. Use a cloth moistened with warm water and a mild detergent. Wipe thoroughly.

Warning
Always unplug the appliance before installing or removing single components. Blades are sharp: handle with care both during assembly, disassembly, and cleaning operations.

USING THE BLENDER

  1. Place the motor unit (1) on a clean and stable surface.

  2. Open the blender lid (Fig. 2).

  3. Cut food into small pieæs and place it into the blender jar (3).

  4. Add a suitable amount of liquid ingredients.
    Warning L-Ä Never use the blender jar without liquids, unless you’re using the ice crush function.
    Do not exceed the maximum allowed quantities, as indicated by the level marks on the jar.
    The blender jar shall always be filled with 2 parts of food and 3 parts of liquid ingredients.

  5. Place the blender jar (3) into the seat on the motor unit (1), then screw the jar until it clicks into place (Fig. 3).

  6. Place the blender lid (4) on the jar (3), then insert the filling cap (5) into the lid (Fig. 4). A Warning Before plugging in the appliance, make sure the blender jar and the lid are correctly installed.

  7. Plug the appliance into the main socket. Set the Speed/lce control knob (2) to the desired speed to start processing food.
    Three-speed modes are available: turn the Speed/lce knob (2) to (1) to use speed 1. Set the knob to (2) to use speed 2. Turn the knob to the P (Pulse) symbol to use the ice crush function.
    If the appliance not start, make sure the blender jar is correctly installed. The appliance is provided with a safety device that prevents the blades from moving unless the jar is properly locked into place A Warning Do not operate the appliance continuously for more than 1 minute at a time. After use, wait at least 10 minutes before using the appliance again.

  8. To stop processing food, turn the Speed/lce control knob (2) to (O).

  9. After use and in case you need to add other ingredients, unscrew the blender jar (3) from the motor unit (1), then remove it (Fig. 5).
    Warning L-:-X Before removing the lid and the blender jar, always wait for the blades to stop moving completely and unplug the appliance from the main socket. Do not remove food from the jar sides using your fingers. Always use a spatula to prevent permanent injuries.

  10. Remove food from within the jar (3).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning Unplug the appliance before any cleaning or maintenance operation. Always unplug the appliance and wait for the blades to stop moving completely before installing or removing single components. Do not plunge the appliance in water or other liquids. The appliance shall only be cleaned with a non-abrasive, slightly damped cloth. Never use solvents, as they may damage the plastic parts. Blades are sharp: handle with care both during assembly, disassembly and cleaning operations.

  • The jars (3) and the lids (4-5) can be washed in the upper part of the dishwasher or using soapy warm water.

Warning The motor unit (1) is not dishwasher safe.

  • Clean the motor unit (1) using a damp sponge or a cloth.
  • Make sure the components are perfectly dry before using them again.
  • Reassemble all the components, then store the applianæ on a stable surface.
