What is the story and technology behind “Never Loses Suction”?

Never Loses Suction is an advanced cyclonic technology that separates fine dirt from the air, preventing dirt from clogging the filters and keeping suction power strong over time. With proper care and maintenance, the Shark Rotator Professional vacuum maintains its suction power so you never lose cleaning power.

What is Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology?

If your vacuum is an unsealed HEPA vacuum, dirt and allergens that you vacuum up can escape back into the air that you breathe before they even reach the HEPA filter. With Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology incorporated with the HEPA filter, the vacuum captures and holds over 99.9%** of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, so that it is not released back into the air you breathe.

General questions about using the vacuum:

How do I assemble my vacuum?

Place the vacuum body onto floor nozzle.

Insert extension wand into top of the vacuum.

Insert handle into the top of the extension wand. Insert hose into hose connector.

Insert the crevice tool and dusting brush onto the accessory holder as shown.

How do I clean above floors with or without accessories?

Depending on the amount of reach required, remove either the handle by pressing the HANDLE release button or handle with extension wand by pressing the EXTENSION WAND button. Attach desired cleaning accessory. Note, the handle will slide into the accessory and the extension wand will slide over the accessory.

How do I detach the pod for portable cleaning?

Simply remove the floor nozzle by pressing the Nozzle Release button and attach accessories on to the handle or wand. Re-assemble back on to the floor nozzle when finished.

General questions about maintenance:

How do I clean the filters and how often?

Pre-Motor Foam and Felt Filter: Under normal usage, rinse and let air dry completely (for 24 hours) every 3 months.

With the dust cup removed, remove and rinse the foam and felt filters with water. Let air dry completely before replacing. Hand wash only. Tap loose dirt off filters between washes as needed.

Post-Motor HEPA filter: Under normal usage, rinse and air dry once every 12 months or as needed.

First, remove the floor nozzle by pressing the red nozzle release button on back of vacuum. Turn the latch to the unlock symbol to release the filter frame. Rinse the post-motor filter and let air dry completely before replacing back into the vacuum. Hand wash only.

For optimal performance, it is recommended to clean filters regularly. Between washings, your foam filters can be tapped clean to remove any excess dust and other particles.

How do I empty the dust cup and how often?

Press the dust cup release button and lift the dust cup off the vacuum.

Holding the dust cup over a garbage bag or can, press the bottom empty release latch located near the bottom of the front of the dust cup.

Press the top dust cup release latch to access and clean dust screen as required.

For optimal performance, empty the dust cup when the dirt reaches the MAX FILL line.

How do I maintain the brushroll?

Remove the floor nozzle from the pod.

Squeeze tabs together and pull up to expose the airway.

Remove any string, carpet fibers or hair that may be wrapped around the brushroll.
