Safety precautions and warnings

Before use, please read this user’s manual carefully and keep it for the entire period of use. Use the appliance only for its intended purpose, as specified in this manual. Improper use of the appliance may lead to its breakdown, causing harm to the user or their property.

  • The appliance is intended for domestic use only. The appliance is not intended for industrial or commercial use, as well as for use:

    • in kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices and other production
      facilities

    • in farmhouses

    •  by clients in hotels, motels, boarding houses, and other similar places of residence

  • Use the appliance indoors only.

  • To avoid electric shock, do not use the appliance in rooms with high humidity.

  • Do not touch the appliance body, power cord and power plug with wet hands.

  • Do not spill water or any liquid on the appliance, its power cord and plug.

  • Do not immerse the body of the appliance in water or any other liquid.

  • If the appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately. In this case, do not put your hands in the water. Before further use, the appliance must be checked by a qualified specialist.

  • Do not use the appliance near heat sources or open flames.

  • The temperature in rooms where the appliance is used must be in the range from 5 °C to + 40 °C.

  • Before connecting the appliance to the mains, make sure that the voltage indicated on the appliance matches the voltage of the mains supply in your house.

  • Keep the power cord away from sharp edges and hot surfaces.

  • Do not stretch, bend, or lengthen the power cord as this may result in its break.

  • During operation of the appliance, the power cord must be unrolled to its full length.

  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a specialist. • Unplug the appliance from the mains when you do not use it or before its cleaning. When unplugging the appliance, do not pull on the power cord but pull directly on the plug.

  • Do not use the appliance if the mains plug or power cord is damaged, if the appliance operates intermittently, or after the appliance has been dropped.

  • Place the appliance on a flat dry and stable surface.

  • The appliance must not be left unattended when connected to power.

  • Do regular cleaning of the appliance.

  • Do not leave children unattended near electrical appliances.

  • This appliance should not be used by persons (as well as young children) with reduced physical or mental abilities, or lack of experience or knowledge.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and over provided they are supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the appliance and understand the resulting risk.   • The appliance should only be transported in its original packaging. • Always unplug the appliance when unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

  • Before using the appliance, check that the replaceable attachment is securely fixed.

  • The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is disposed of.

  • The instrument must be unplugged before removing the battery.

  • The battery must be disposed of in a safe manner.

  • It is not advisable to keep the device connected to a power source for more than 16 hours.

  • Only use the charger that comes with the appliance.

  • Do not recharge the battery until it is completely discharged.

  • If you have not used the shaver for a month or more, fully charge it before use.

Before first use

After transporting or storing the appliance at a low temperature, keep it at room temperature for at least three hours.

  1. Check the integrity of the appliance; if damaged, do not use the appliance.
  2. Remove any stickers and packing materials that interfere with the operation of the appliance.
  3. Before turning on the appliance, make sure that the operating voltage of the appliance matches the mains voltage.

Blades alignment

  1. If the blades were removed for cleaning or replacement, they must be leveled.
  2. Align the blades on the plane and tighten the fixing screws
  3. The lower blade should project forward, with respect to the upper one by 1.2 mm.
  4. If you could not level the blades, drip a few drops of oil on the blades, turn on the machine for a while (30-40 seconds). After that, turn off the machine.
  5. Slightly loosen the screws of the lower blade and align the blades.
  6. After aligning the blades, be sure to tighten the mounting screws of the lower blade.

Oiling instructions

  1.  For optimum cutting performance, it is highly recommended to oil the blades after every use.
  2. When using the oil for the first time, unscrew the cap and cut off the very end of the plastic tube with a pair of scissors.
  3. Remove the blade guard and switch the appliance on.
  4. Holding the clipper at a 45 degree angle, gently squeeze the oil tube and apply 2 drops directly onto the blades.
  5. Leave the unit on for a further few seconds to allow the oil to thoroughly spread along the length of the blades.
  6. Switch off the unit and remove any excess oil by gently dabbing with a cloth before using on hair.

Comb guides

This appliance is supplied with 4 comb guides: 3mm / 6mm / 10mm / 13mm

  1. To attach a comb guide, ensure the appliance is switched off. Position the comb guide over the front of the clipper blade and slide over the head. Push and click the rear of the comb guide into position.
  2. To remove the comb guide, ensure the appliance is switched off. Push the tab on the rear of the comb guide away from the head and lift off.

Length adjustment lever

The taper control lever enables fine cut adjustment for precision clipping.

  • To increase the cutting length, push the lever down.
  • To reduce the cutting length, push the lever up.

Operation

Charging the appliance

  • Before using the appliance for the first time, charge the battery continuously for 3 hours. Maximum battery capacity will only be reached after 3 completed charging and discharging cycles.

  • Connect the adapter to the mains and then to the charging port.
    The red indicator light will light up. Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will turn green.
    Note: Make sure the appliance is turned off before connecting it to the mains.

  • When the appliance is running low on charge, the LED indicator light will flash.

Note:
In order to maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, the appliance should be recharged for 3 hours approximately every 3 months.

Using the clipper on the mains

Make sure that the clipper is switched off. Plug into a suitable mains socket. Wait for approximately a minute, and then switch on.
Don’t use the clipper in this mode for more than 20 minutes.

Replacement of blades

  1. Turn off and unplug the appliance and set the cutting length adjustment lever to position A (pic. 1).

  2. Unscrew the screws (pic. 2) and remove the fixed blade. Put the screws in a safe place.

  3. Lift off the small moving blade and replace it with the new one on the plastic oscillator (pic. 3).

  4. Replace the fixed blade using the screws and lightly tighten them.
    Adjust the teeth (pic. 4) , to a gap of 0,5-1 mm and the small, moving blade as centered and parallel as possible to the fixed blade’s teeth.

Be sure to add a few drops of oil to the blades before running.
Don’t forget to tighten the screws after the blades have been aligned.

Cleaning and maintenance

To maintain optimum performance, the appliance should be cleaned after each use.

  1. Blow away any remaining hair on the blades or use the cleaning brush provided.
  2. Remove the comb guide. The comb guide can be rinsed under running water. Ensure they are dried thoroughly before storage or further use.
  3. Oil the blades after every use to ensure optimum cutting performance.

Do not immerse the body of the appliance in any liquid, rinse it under running water or place it in the dishwasher.

Never use sharp or abrasive items when cleaning the appliance.

Storage

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Clean it and thoroughly dry the unit before taking the unit for storage.
  3. Wind the power cord.
  4. Keep the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.
