Product Information

This product is a fixture that requires assembly and installation. The product comes with a drawing that may not exactly match the enclosed product, but the installation instructions provided are applicable.

It is important to note that power should be shut off at the fuse or circuit breaker before beginning the assembly and installation process.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture.
  2. Follow the instructions provided in Figure 1 to assemble the fixture.
  3. Ensure that the back of the cover meets with the wall surface to prevent water from seeping into the junction box.
  4. Install light bulbs (not included) according to the fixture’s specifications. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.
  5. Raise the glass (part A) and insert the cover of the lamp holder by turning it clockwise until tight.

Installation Instructions

Follow the steps outlined in Figure 2 to connect the electrical
wires:

  1. Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black house wire (hot).
  2. Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white house wire (neutral).
  3. Ensure all wire nuts are secured and consider wrapping the connections with electrical tape.
  4. If your junction box has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture’s bare copper ground wire to it. Otherwise, attach the bare copper fixture wire to the green ground screw on the mounting plate.
  5. Tuck the wire connections neatly into the wall junction box.

Once you have completed the assembly and installation process, return power to the junction box and test the fixture to ensure it is functioning properly.

ASSEMBLING & INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The drawing shown may not exactly match the product enclosed. However, the installation instructions do apply to this product.

ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE

  1. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove old fixture, including the single bar. Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts on a clear area. Take care not to lose any small parts necessary for installation.
  2. Thread the two mounting screws about 1/4” into the pre-drilled holes in the mounting plate, spaced about the same distance apart as the holes in the fixture back plate. Attach the mounting plate to the junction box using two junction box screws as shown. The side of the mounting plate marked “GND” must face out. The junction box is not included.
  3. Guide fixture wires through hole in center of mounting plate.
  4. Follow wiring instructions carefully (see fig.2).
  5. Attach the back plate of lamp body(B) onto the junction box, aligning screws on mounting plate with mounting holes and lock it securely with the column nuts(C).
  6. With silicone caulking compound, caulk completely around where back of cover meets with the wall surface to prevent water from seeping into junction box.
  7. Install the light bulbs(Not included) in accordance with the fixture’s specifications. NOTE: DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING!
  8. Raise the glass(A) insert the cover of lamp holder, by turning it clockwise until tight.

CONNECTING THE WIRES

  1. Connect the electrical wires as follows. Connect the Black wire from the fixture to the black house (hot) Wire. Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) house wire. Make sure all wire nuts are secured. You may wrap the connections with electrical tape. If your junction box has a ground wires (green or bare copper) connect fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise attach the bare copper fixture wire to the green ground screw on the mounting plate.
  2. Tuck the wire connections neatly into the wall junction box.

Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.
