Product Information
The product is a lighting fixture with model number 59128. It is available in a 4-light configuration. The fixture consists of various components including upper frame, lower frame, mounting strap, outlet box, socket, canopy, countersunk screws, wall anchor screws, and wall anchors.
Product Usage Instructions
- Start by removing the four countersunk screws from the top of the upper frame on each side of the fixture. Retain the screws. Carefully remove the upper frame from the lower frame.
- If necessary, remove the lower frame for inspection of supply connections and relamping. To remove the lower frame after fixture installation is complete, hold it in place while removing the countersunk screws from the top of the upper frame. Then, carefully remove the lower frame from the upper frame.
- Attach the mounting strap to the outlet box using the strap mounting screws. Adjust the mounting strap to suit the position of the fixture. Ensure that the bent tabs at the outer edge of the mounting strap point away from the wall at the 9 and 3 o’clock position.
- Use the mounting strap as a template to mark the center of the four outer slots on the mounting surface.
- Remove the strap mounting screws and mounting strap from the outlet box.
- Drill 1/8 inch (3.2mm) holes in the marked positions on the mounting surface. Insert a wall anchor into each hole and tap it lightly until flush with the surface.
- Reattach the mounting strap to the outlet box using the strap mounting screws.
- Secure the mounting strap to the wall anchors using the wall anchor screws.
- Follow the grounding instructions provided in the manual.
- Depending on the type of mounting strap, either wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw and thread into the hole or attach the ground wire under the cupped washer and green ground screw, and thread into the mounting strap.
- If the fixture is provided with a ground wire, connect it to the outlet box ground wire using a wire connector.
- Make the necessary wire connections according to the reference chart provided. Connect the black or red supply wire to the corresponding wire color indicated in the chart, and connect the white supply wire to the appropriate wire color as well.
Note : When using parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2), the neutral wire will be square-shaped or ridged, while the other wire will be round in shape or smooth.
