- Important: The battery in this unit may not be fully charged at the time of electrical connection. It is recommended to let the battery charge for at least 24 hours before first use. After installation or power failure, allow 20 hours of recharge time for full-load testing or usage.

Product Usage Instructions
- During an electrical power failure, the lamps will automatically come on for a minimum of 90 minutes (1.5 hours).
- To test the emergency lamps, depress the Test button. The lamps will illuminate when the switch is pressed and go off when released.
Conduit Mounting Instructions:
Maximum mounting height: 18.71 (5.7m).
- Secure the main bottom case to the wall surface.
- Put wires through the hole in the conduit flange to make the conduit connection.
- Connect the battery only after continuous AC power can be provided to the unit.
- Align snaps and push the housing directly into the main bottom case.
- Apply continuous AC power and press the Test button to check the light.
Warning: Unused wires must be capped using enclosed wire nuts.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the instructions carefully before attempting to install the fixture.
- All wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Disconnect power before installing or servicing. This fixture must be wired by the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes and ordinances.
- Do NOT use this equipment for other than its intended use.
CAUTION : Risk of fire
- WARNING : Make certain power is OFF before installing or maintaining the fixture. No user-serviceable parts inside.
- WARNING : Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights where it will not be subject to tampering by unauthorized personnel. Maximum mounting height is 18.71FT (5.7m).
- WARNING : Do NOT use outdoors.
- WARNING : Do NOT mount near gas or electric heaters.
- WARNING : Do NOT let power cords touch hot surfaces.
- WARNING : The use of auxiliary equipment is NOT recommended by the manufacturer. It will void the unit’s warranty.
- WARNING : The fixture should be mounted in a location and at a height where it will not be readily subjected to tampering by unauthorized personnel.
IMPORTANT:
The battery in this unit may not be fully charged at the time an electrical
connection is made. Let the battery charge for at least 24 hours before first
use.
- After the charge, the normal operation of this unit should take effect.
- To check, press the “Test” button. The light inside of the unity should turn on.
- This fixture is furnished with a low-voltage battery dropout circuit to protect the battery from over-discharge after the output has been used. Allow 20 hours of recharge time after installation or power failure for full-load testing or usage.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
CAUTION : Be sure the fixture temperature is cool enough to touch. Do NOT clean or maintain while the fixture is energized.
- Clean the lens with a non-abrasive cleaning solution.
- Do NOT open the fixture to clean the LED. Do NOT touch the LED.

OPERATION

- To test, depress the “Test” button. The emergency lamps will illuminate. When the switch is released, the lamps will go off.

- Connect the battery only after continuous AC power can be provided to the unit (Fig. 2)
- Align snaps and push housing directly into the main bottom case (Fig. 3). Apply continuous AC power and press the “Test” button to check the light.
- WARNING: Unused wires must be capped using enclosed wire nuts.
J-BOX MOUNTING: Maximum mounting height is 18.71FT (5.7m).
- Open the front cover using a flat screwdriver. Feed the fixture leads through the main bottom case and connect to the AC power supply.
- Make electrical connections inside the J-box. Cap unused wires. (Fig. 1)
- For 120V, use the BLACK and WHITE wires.
- For 277V, use the RED and WHITE wires.
- Connect the wires through the J-Box, the main bottom case on the J-Box, and secure the screws. (Fig. 2)
- Knockout appropriate mount screw hole and cable hole. (Fig. 3)
- Align snaps and push housing directly into the main bottom case. Apply continuous AC power and press the “Test” button to check the light.
