4 M6 x 1.0mm x 16mm Screws, Socket Head
1 Throttle Body Adaptor, 70mm to 76mm
1 Throttle Body Gasket
  • Please read the entire instruction manual before proceeding.
  • Ensure all components listed are present.
  • For technical support please call 951-493-7185.
  • Ensure you have all necessary tools before proceeding.
  • Ensure that your vehicle is cooled off before proceeding.
  • Retain factory parts for future use.
  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Remove the engine cover (if applicable).
  3. Remove the air intake tube from the vehicle.
  4. Pinch the coolant by-pass hoses with a hose pinch plier and disconnect the hoses.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the factory throttle body.
  6. Remove the four (4) screws retaining the throttle body. Put these aside to reuse later.
  7. Remove the factory throttle body.
  8. Clean the gasket surface at the intake manifold and replace the gasket if necessary (not supplied).
  9. Install the supplied aFe Throttle Body Adaptor onto the intake manifold using the supplied four (4) M6 x 1.0mm x 16mm socket head cap screws. Tighten to factory specifications (7 ft/lbf or 10 Nm).
  10. Install the supplied aFe 76mm Throttle Body and Gasket onto the aFe Throttle Body Adaptor using the four (4) screws removed earlier. Tighten to factory specifications (7 ft/lbf or 10 Nm).
  11. Connect the electrical connector to the aFe 76mm Throttle Body.
  12. Connect the coolant by-pass hoses.
  13. Install the air intake tube back into the vehicle.
  14. Reinstall the engine cover (if applicable).
  15. Reconnect the battery.
  16. Installation is now complete.

NOTE: Check all screws, clamps, and connectors are secure after 100-200 miles
NOTE: Idle will run high on some vehicles but will readjust once the ECU learns to properly control the idle (this can take up to 800 miles on some vehicles).
