Dear Customer!
This manual contains information and important notes for safe commissioning
and handling of the WORKBENCH WB160L, hereinafter referred to as “product” in
this document.
This manual is part of the product and must not be removed. Save it for later reference and if you let other people use the product, add this manual to the product.
Please read and note the chapter of safety!
Due to constant advancements in product design, construction, illustrations
and contents may deviate slightly. If you notice any errors, please inform us.
We reserve the right to make technical changes!
Check the goods immediately after receipt and note any complaints on the
consignment note when taking over the goods from the deliverer!
Transport damage must be reported to us separately to us within 24 hours.
HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH cannot accept any liability for transport damage that
has not been reported.

SAFETY
Intended use
Only use this product in a technically perfect condition in accordance with
its intended use. Malfunctions that could impair safety must be rectified
immediately.
It is generally prohibited to modify or render ineffective any safety-related
equipment of the product!
The product is intended exclusively for the following activities:
As a workbench for woodworking or for storing tools, whereby the maximum
permissible load must not be exceeded.
NOTE
HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH assumes no responsibility or warranty for any other
use or use beyond this and for any resulting damage to property or injury.
Technical restrictions
The product is designed for the work under the following conditions:
- Relative humidity max. 70 %
- Temperature (operation) +5 °C to +40 °C
- Temperature (storage, transport) -5 °C to +55 °C
Prohibited applications /Dangerous misuse
- Outdoor use.
- Use of the product in conditions outside the technical limits specified in these instructions.
- Modifications to the design of the product.
- Use of the product for any purposes other than described in this manual.
- Use as a children´s toy.
- Use as a climbing aid or as a work platform.
General safety instructions
- Make sure that all parts are firmly screwed together.
- Ensure that the product stands securely.
- Ensure that the product is handled in a safety-conscious and hazard-conscious manner.
- Inspect the product before each use. Loose or damaged parts should be tightened or replaced immediately.
- Avoid any contact of the product with open fire or heat sources.
- Ensure even load distribution when storing tools or workpieces. Avoid jerky placement of the load.
TRANSPORT
For proper transport, observe the instructions and information on the
transport packaging regarding centre of gravity, attachement points, weight,
means of transport to be used and prescribed transport position, etc.
Pay attention to the correct body posture when lifting, carrying and setting
down the load.
Lifting / Setting down
- When lifting/setting down, ensure that you are standing firmly (legs hip-width apart).
- Lift/set down load with knees bent and back straight.
- Do not lift/set down load with a jerk.
Carrying
- Carry load with both hands as close to body as possible.
- Carry load with straight back.
Always secure the assembled product in the transport position when transporting it to prevent damage to the product.
ASSEMBLY
Check delivery content
Check the delivery immediately for transport damage and missing parts. Report any damage or missing parts to your dealer or the shipping company immediately. Visible transport damage must also be noted immediately on the delivery note in accordance with the provisions of the warranty, otherwise the goods are deemed to have been properly accepted.
Requirements for the installation site
Place the product on a level, solid surface. Observe the safety requirements and the dimensions of the product. The chosen installation site must comply with the local safety regulations and meet the ergonomic requirements for a workplace with sufficient lighting conditions.
Assemble
Assemble the workbench as described below:
| 1. **** Place the connecting nut of the screw (16) into the opening of the frame brace (1).
Make sure that the slot of the connecting nut is aligned horizontally.
Fix the two framesides (2, 3) and the frame brace (1) with the two screws (16).
Make sure that the groove of the frame brace is on the inside.

| 2. Slide the backboard (5) between the two framesides (2, 3) and fix it
with a frame brace (1).
Use the connecting nut and the screws (16).
Pay attention to the inside groove, which must be directed towards the groove of the upper frame brace.
| 3. Slide the two shelves into the groove (4).
| 4. Place the groove of the frame brace (1) into the long side of the lower
shelf (4).
Fix the frame brace (1) and the framesides with the connecting nut and screws (16).
Slide the divider incl. drawer runners (6) vertically between the top and the bottom shelf.
Make sure that the drawer runners point to the left and the rollers are facing forwards.
| 5. Fix the top shelf by connecting the upper frame brace to the framesides
by using the connecting nut and the screws (16).
| 6. Fix the two drawer side panels (9) and the drawer back panel (11) with
screws (17).
Slide in the drawer bottom (12).
Fix the drawer front panel (10) with screws (17). Repeat this procedure with the other 3 drawers.
| 7. Fix the cupboard door (7) with the screws (18). Insert the 3 drawers
into the drawer runners (A).

| 8. Place the worktop (8) on the top of the framesides and fix it on the
underside with 2 screws (19) on each side.
Make sure that the lowered tray is positioned on the rear side of the workbench.
Slide both vises into the respective openings and position them horizontally. Turn them tightly with the handle (13).
Insert the bench dogs (15) into the holes in the workbench.
Place the wood pegs into the holes of the right frameside.
OPERATION
Only use the product when it is in perfect condition. Before each use, visually inspect the connecting parts to ensure that they are firmly seated.
Handling
The bench dogs can be used to clamp workpieces of different sizes for further
processing by clamping the vise.
NOTE: Overloading and excessive pressure due to too much tension
(revolution of the vise) will cause damage and breakage of components.
The drawers, the tray, the shelv and the cupboard allow the storage of tools
or workpieces. Make sure that the load is evenly distributed.
NOTE: Overloading (= higher weight support than permitted according to
the technical data) leads to damage and breakage of the product or components.
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE, STORAGE, DISPOSAL
Cleaning
Regular cleaning guarantees the long service life of your product and is a prerequisite for its safe operation.
NOTE
Incorrect cleaning products can attack the finish of the product. Do not
use any solvents, nitro thinners or other cleaning products that could damage
the product´s finish.
Observe the specifications and instructions of the cleaning agent
manufacturer.
- Remove chips and dirt particles from the product after each use with a proper tool
Maintenance
The product is low-maintenance and only a few parts need to be serviced. Malfunctions or defects that could affect your safety must be repaired immediately!
- Before each operation, check the perfect condition of the safety devices.
- Use only original spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.
Storage
NOTE : Improper storage can damage and destroy important components. Only store packed or unpacked parts under the intended environmental conditions!
Store the product in a dry, frost-proof and lockable place when not in use. Make sure that unauthorised persons and especially children do not have access to the product.
Disposal
Observe the national waste disposal regulations. Never dispose of the product,
product components or operating equipment in the residual waste. If necessary,
contact your local authorities for information regarding available disposal
options.
If you purchase a new product or equivalent equipment from your specialist
dealer, he is obliged in certain countries to dispose of your old product
properly.
With original HOLZMANN spare parts you use parts that are attuned to each other shorten the installation time and elongate your products lifespan.
NOTE The installation of parts other than original spare parts leads to the loss of the guarantee! Therefore: When replacing components/parts, only use spare parts recommended by the manufacturer

Always state the machine type, spare part number and designation. To prevent misunderstandings, we recommend that you add a copy of the spare parts drawing with the spare parts order, on which the required spare parts are clearly marked, especially when not using the online-spare-part catalogue.

Warranty
For mechanical and electrical components Company HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH grants a warranty period of 2 years for DIY use and a warranty period of 1 year for professional/industrial use – starting with the purchase of the final consumer (invoice date).
In case of defects during this period which are not excluded by paragraph 3, Holzmann will repair or replace the machine at its own discretion. -
Report
In order to check the legitimacy of warranty claims, the final consumer must contact his dealer. The dealer has to report in written form the occurred defect to HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH. If the warranty claim is legitimate, HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH will pick up the defective machine from the dealer. Return shipments by dealers which have not been coordinated with HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH will not be accepted. A RMA number is an absolute must-have for us – we won‘t accept returned goods without an RMA number! -
Regulation
- Warranty claims will only be accepted when a copy of the original invoice or cash voucher from the trading partner of HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH is enclosed to the machine. The warranty claim expires if the accessories belonging to the machine are missing.
- The warranty does not include free checking, maintenance, inspection or service works on the machine. Defects due to incorrect usage through the final consumer or his dealer will not be accepted as warranty claims either.
- Excluded are defects on wearing parts such as carbon brushes, fangers, knives, rollers, cutting plates, cutting devices, guides, couplings, seals, impellers, blades, hydraulic oils, oil filters, sliding jaws, switches, belts, etc.
- Also excluded are damages on the machine caused by incorrect or inappropriate usage, if it was used for a purpose which the machine is not supposed to, ignoring the user manual, force majeure, repairs or technical manipulations by not authorized workshops or by the customer himself, usage of non-original Holzmann spare parts or accessories.
- After inspection by our qualified staff, resulted costs (like freight charges) and expenses for not legitimated warranty claims will be charged to the final customer or dealer.
- In case of defective machines outside the warranty period, we will only repair after advance payment or dealer’s invoice according to the cost estimate (incl. freight costs) of HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH.
- Warranty claims can only be granted for customers of an authorized HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH dealer who directly purchased the machine from HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH. These claims are not transferable in case of multiple sales of the machine.

Claims for compensation and other liabilities
The liability of company HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH is limited to the value of goods in all cases.
Claims for compensation because of poor performance, lacks, damages or loss of earnings due to defects during the warranty period will not be accepted.
HOLZMANN MASCHINEN GmbH insists on its right to subsequent improvement of the machine.
SERVICE
After Guarantee and warranty expiration specialist repair shops can perform
maintenance and repair jobs. But we are still at your service as well with
spare parts and/or product service. Place your spare part/repair service cost
inquiry by
