SAFETY NOTES
**** Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
- Please read this manual carefully and use the device only according to this manual.
- Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
- Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to use the device, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a qualified person.
- This article is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with the solar panel.
- Only for vehicles, boots etc. with 12 V on board voltage and wired with minus against mass!
- If the on board socket is not live with the ignition off, modifications on the voltage socket should be carried out only by a professional for automobile electronics.
- After charging process, disconnect the plug from the cigarette lighter socket.
- Before starting a drive, disconnect the plug from the on board voltage.
- Do not stress the cord. Do not bend the cord and keep it away from hot and sharp surfaces. Do not wind the cord around the unit.
- The solar panel is protected against splashing water (IP44). However, do not immerse it in liquids of any kind.
- The product may not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or strong mechanical stress.
- Should the unit become damaged do not use it any further and have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer service. Do not disassemble the unit or try repairing it yourself.
OPERATION
Connect the unit to the vehicle battery using the contact clamps. Alternatively, use the 12 V on-board power socket (cigarette lighter socket).
- Connect the intermediate plugs to one another. Plug the connector into the on-board voltage socket of your vehicle. The socket must be live when the ignition key is removed, otherwise the battery cannot be charged.
- Position the solar panel so that the sun shines on it, for example, the dashboard, windscreen or rear window.
- Switch off all power consumers such as lights, radio, fan, rear window heater, etc. As long as the solar panel receives sufficient sunlight, the indicator light will flash and the battery will be charged.
Notes:
The solar panel can be left connected overnight as a protection circuit
prevents the battery from discharging.
Mounting inside and outside the vehicle:
Attach the solar panel with the enclosed suction cups to the inside of a
window of the vehicle or to a suitable location on the outside.
Note, however, that when used outdoors, the solar panel is only splash-proof
and must not be operated permanently outdoors. For permanent outdoor use, you
must seal all joints, including the panel surround, with suitable sealant,
e.g. transparent silicone.
Remove an externally mounted solar panel before starting a journey.
Maintenance, cleaning and storage:
Clean the solar battery charger with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh
cleaners or aggressive chemicals to avoid damaging the surfaces.
Store the solar battery charger in a dry place protected from dust and
moisture.
The solar battery charger is protected by a fuse in the plug. If the fuse has
been activated, unscrew the tip (A) and replace the old fuse (B) with a new
one (C) of the same rating and dimensions:
