LISTENING SAFETY
To protect your hearing, follow these guidelines when using headphones:

  • Do not listen at extremely high volume levels. Extended periods of listening at high volumes can lead to permanent hearing loss.
  • Once the volume is set to a comfortable level, do not increase it. Over time, your ears adapt to the volume level, so even a volume that does not cause discomfort may still damage your hearing.

TRAFFIC SAFETY
Do not wear headphones while operating a motor vehicle or riding a bicycle. This can cause a traffic hazard and is illegal in some areas. Even though some headphones are designed to let you hear outside sounds when listening at normal volume level, they still present a traffic hazard.
ANTENNA
This radio is equipped with a built in ferrite bar aerial for improved AM (MW) reception and a telescopic rod antenna for improved FM reception. As the built in ferrite bar aerial is directional, rotate the radio slowly to find the position, which gives optimum reception on AM (MW). When listening to FM broadcasts, extend the telescopic rod aerial to its full length, for best reception and clarity.
