- Never let children push anything into holes or slots in the cabinet or casing — this could result in an electric shock.
- Do not use rechargeable bateries in this appliance.
DO NOT
Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries, alkaline or
rechargeable batteries with different capacity together — they may leak.
- Always tum the unit off, when not in use. Leaving it on will shorten the life of the batteries.
- If you plan not to use the unit for a length of time, remove the batteries. Old batteries can leak and cause corrosion, damaging the unit
- Should you find the sensitivity or quality of sound deteriorating, replace all old batteries with new ones as soon as possible.
- The use of long life alkaline batteries is recommended.
- DO NOT throw the battery in fire or dispose of in household waste. Consult your local authority in the correct way to dispose of unwanted batteries.
- DO NOT short-circuit the supply terminals of the batteries.
- Always check the correct polarity when inserting batteries. Incorrect polarity can damage this unit.

QUICK SETUP
GETTING STARTED

1| Enter Button| Press this button to confirm all operations, or operates back
light.
2| Auto Tune Button| Press this button for automatic channel scan mode. After
scan first 10 FM stations will be automatically stored into memory. DAB and
additional FM radio stations can be manually added.
3| Info Button| Press to see information about the selected channel
4| Clock Button| Press to set time and date
9| DAB/FM Button| Press to toggle between DAB waveband and FM waveband
10| Memory Button| Press to enter Memory mode. Press and hold to store a
station to chosen preset. 30 preset’s available.
11| Alarm Button| Press + Hold to enter Alarm setting modeTime.
Duration:15/30/45/90 min. Buzzer/FM/DAB,
Once/Daily/Weekdays/Weekends, DateNolume, On/OffPress to toggle Alarm On and

POWERING ON
The radio can be powered from batteries.
Press the power button for 3 seconds to tun on.
BATTERIES
Open the battery compartment located at the back of the radio and place 3 x 1.5V / AAA batteries making sure that they are the correct way round. Close the battery compartment. We always recommend the use of Alkaline batteries and not Carbon Zinc or Rechargeable that may reduce the performance of the radio.
FEATURES
DAB RADIO
- Press the DAB/FM button until DAB shows on the display.
- Press ENTER to automatically scan all channels.
- Press the UP or DOWN button to search through the station list, and press ENTER to select station.
FM RADIO
- Press the DAB/FM button until FM shows on the display.
- Extend the antenna fully.
- Press ENTER to automatically scan all channels.
- The radio will scan for the next or last available frequency.
- To manually scan, press the UP or DOWN button repeatedily until you find the required frequency.
INFO
DAB information modes are shown on the LED display.
Press the INFO Key to see the available modes.
- DLS (Dynamic Link Segment): displays rolling text which may show the artist, track name, program details etc.
- Signal Strength: displays the signal strength of the current station.
- Program Type: displays the type of station content being broadcast.
- Ensemble name: displays the name of the multiplex to which the current DAB station belongs. I Frequency and Channel: displays the current channel and frequency.
- Signal Error.
- Bitrate and Audio Status: displays the data rate in kilo bites per second and the audio mode.
- Time/Date: displays the current time and date.
FM Information modes are shown on the LED display.
Press the INFO button to see available modes.
- PTY (Program Type): displays the type of station content being broadcast.
- signal Strength: displays the signal strength of the current station.
- Station Frequency: displays the frequency of the current station.
- Radio text: displays rolling text which may show the artist, track name, program details etc.
AUTO TUNING TUNING
- Select FM or DAB Waveband by pressing DAB/FM button.
- Press the AUTO TUNE button
- The screen will show SCANNING.
- On FM the first 10 stations will be stored into memory.
- On DAB the stations will be automatically stored, but your favourites can then be added to the Preset memory.
- Repeat the above steps to store more radio stations.
RADIO PRE-SET MEMORY
Up to 30 radio stations can be programmed.
- Select the radio station you wish to store.
- Press the Memory button.
- The screen will show ‘Preset Store’. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select a preset number to store the station.
- Press ENTER to store the station
- Repeat the above steps to store more radio stations
ALARM
- Put the radio into standby.
- Press and hold the ALARM button to enter alarm set up. The display will show ‘on time’ and ’00:00″ will flash on the display.
- Select the time for the alarm to start. Press UP and DOWN to select the hour.
- Press the ENTER button to confirm.
- Press UP and DOWN to select the minutes and press ENTER to confirm.
- Press UP and DOWN to select the Duration from 15/30/45/60 and 90 minutes and press ENTER to confirm selection.
- Press UP and DOWN to select Source from Buzzer/FM or DAB and press ENTER to confirm selection.
- Press UP and DOWN to select Source from Buzzer/FM or DAB and press ENTER to confirm selection.
- Press UP and DOWN to select Volume/Last Listened Channel or Current Channel and press ENTER to confirm selection.
- Press UP and DOWN to select Period from Daily, Weekdays, Weekends or Once and press ENTER to confirm selection.
- Press UP and DOWN to select to turn Alarm On or OFF and press ENTER to confirm selection.
- The Alarm setting will be saved and a Bell in top right will indicate when Alarm has been set.
- To cancel the alarm, hold the ALARM button and Bell will turn OFF.
CLOCK
- Put the radio into standby.
- Press and hold the CLOCK button to enter clock set up. The display will show ‘on time’ and ’00:00″ will flash on the display.
- Press UP and DOWN to select the Hour. Press the ENTER button to confirm,
- Press UP and DOWN to select the Minutes and press ENTER to confirm.
- Press UP and DOWN to select the Date and press ENTER to confirm selection.
- Press UP and DOWN to select the Month and press ENTER to confirm selection.
- Press UP and DOWN to select the Year and press ENTER to confirm selection.
- On last Enter, screen will show Time Saved.
SLEEP TIMER
The sleep timer allows you to play music for a certain amount of time, before
the radio tumns itself off automatically.
- With Radio switched ON.
- Press SLEEP button,
- Press UP or DOWN button and the display will run through options 90-60-45-30-15-OFF.
- When the display shows the required time (in minutes), press ENTER Button
- A SLEEP indicator will stay at the stop of the screen.
- The Radio will continue playing for the selected amount of the minutes and will automatically turn off when the timer has finished.
TROUBLESHOOTING
GETTING STARTED
No sound / power| Volume turned down. Batteries dead/incorrectly inserted.|
Adjust the volume using volume dial. Remove the batteries and re-insert. If it
still does not work, insert fresh batteries.

No radio signal| Antenna not adjusted/no frequency.| When listening to FM
radio, ensure the antenna is fully adjusted. Use the tuning dial to adjust the
radio frequency
CLEANING AND CARE
MAINTENANCE
This appliance has been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper care and regular cleaning
CLEANING
The exterior surface of the appliance should be wiped with a clean dry cloth only.
DO NOT
Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents or polish on any part of this
appliance.
PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL MAINTENANCE
- Place the set on a hard and flat surface so that the system does not ilt
- Do not expose the set or batteries to humidity, rain, sand or excessive heat caused by heating equipment or direct sunlight.
- Do not cover the set. Allow adequate ventilation with a minimum gap of 15cm between the ventilation holes and surrounding surfaces. Do not place on large pile carpets or restrict flow of air underneath the set.
WERE/ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT Do not dispose of this
product with household waste. For the proper treatment, recovery and recycling
please take this product to the appropriate waste collection point. If you are
unsure where this may be, please contact your local authority. Improper
disposal may be harmful to the environment.
PRODUCT END OF LIFE AND BATTERY DISPOSAL
The battery contains substances that may pollute the environment. At end of life for the product, always remove the battery and separate before you discard the product at your local waste collection point. Both battery and product should be disposed separately. If you have trouble removing the battery, then you should contact a qualified technician or authorised service centre. Contact your local authority for details and locations of official waste collection points. Do not dispose of batteries or product with normal household waste.
