GETTING STARTED

CONNECTIONS TO BASE
GND:  CONNECT TO CHASSIS GROUND
B+: CONNECT TO CONSTANT POSITIVE BATTERY SOURCE.  WE RECOMMEND CONNECTING AS CLOSE TO YOUR AMPLIFIER(S) AS POSSIBLE FOR THE MOST ACCURATE VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT.  FUSE CONNECTION USING 5A MAX FUSE.
REMOTE: CONNECT TO A SWITCHED POSITIVE VOLTAGE SOURCE THAT TURNS ON AND OFF WITH THE VEHICLE OR SOURCE UNIT SUCH AS THE HEAD UNIT’S REMOTE TURN-ON OUTPUT
RCA INPUT:   CONNECT TO THE AUDIO OUTPUT OF YOUR AUDIO SOURCE.  (HEAD UNIT, DSP, ETC).  DO NOT EXCEED 5.0VAC!!.
RCA OUTPUT:   CONNECT TO THE AUDIO INPUT OF YOUR AMPLIFIER
PAIRING
YOUR NEW WIRELESS BASS REMOTE WILL NEED TO BE PAIRED TO THE BASE BEFORE IT CAN BE USED.  TO PAIR THE REMOTE TO THE BASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS.

  1. POWER ON THE BASE STATION AND OBSERVE THE LED LIGHTING.  THE LEDS SHOULD BE BLINKING SLOWLY.  MAKE SURE REMOTE IS TURNED OFF.
  2. WITHIN 1 MINUTE, PRESS IN AND HOLD THE VOLUME KNOB BUTTON ON THE WIRELESS REMOTE.  WHILE HOLDING THE BUTTON, POWER ON THE REMOTE.
  3. THE DISPLAY SHOULD INDICATE THE REMOTE HAS ENTERED PAIRING MODE.  CONTINUE TO HOLD THE BUTTON.
  4. ONCE THE DISPLAY READS “STARTING!”, RELEASE THE VOLUME BUTTON.  THE REMOTE MAY TAKE UP TO 10 SECONDS TO PAIR WITH THE BASE.
  5. ONCE PAIRED THE LEDS ON THE BASE SHOULD BE ON STEADY(NOT BLINKING), AND THE BLUETOOTH SYMBOL ON THE REMOTE DISPLAY SHOULD ALSO BE ON STEADY.
  6. IF THE LEDS ON THE BASE AND THE BLUETOOTH SYMBOL ON THE REMOTE DISPLAY ARE NOT BOTH ON SOLID, REPEAT THE PAIRING PROCEDURE UNTIL THE TWO UNITS ARE SUCCESFULLY PAIRED.

CHARGING
MOST STANDARD NON-PROTOCOL USB-C 5V CHARGERS AND CABLES CAN BE USED TO CHARGE THE REMOTE.  SOME CHARGERS THAT NEED VALIDATION FROM THE DEVICE (PROTOCOL) SUCH AS SOME CELL PHONE CHARGERS MAY NOT WORK.  WHILE THE DEVICE IS CHARGING A RED CHARGING LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE NEXT TO THE USB PORT.  WHEN FULLY CHARGED, A BLUE LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE NEXT TO THE USB PORT.  CHARGING TYPICALLY TAKES 3-4 HOURS FROM COMPLETELY DEAD.
WHEN THE REMOTE BATTERY BECOMES TOO LOW, THE REMOTE WILL POWER OFF AND WILL NOT POWER ON AGAIN UNTIL CONNECTED TO A CHARGING SOURCE.  THIS IS TO PROTECT THE BATTERY FROM OVER-DISCHARGE.
CONTROLS

  • ROTATING THE KNOB ON THE REMOTE CLOCKWISE WILL RAISE THE OUTPUT LEVEL FROM THE BASE MODULE (LESS ATTENUATION).
  • ROTATING THE KNOB ON THE REMOTE COUNTER-CLOCKWISE WILL LOWER THE OUTPUT LEVEL FROM THE BASE MODULE (MORE ATTENUATION).
  • PRESSING THE KNOB IN WILL “MUTE” THE AUDIO OUTPUT LEVEL FROM THE BASE MODULE (FULL ATTENUATION)
