Tub Drain Conversion Trim Kits
The Tub Drain Conversion Trim Kits are designed to replace old overflow plates and provide an updated and functional drain assembly for your bathtub. These kits come with all the necessary components to convert your tub drain, including an overflow plate, screws, drain wrench, bushing (if required), shoe, plumber’s putty, and plug.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Start by removing the screws from the old overflow plate using a screwdriver.
- Align the screw holes on your new overflow plate with the existing holes on your bathtub and thread the provided screws into place.
- Insert the drain wrench into the drain, engaging the cross members, and unthread the old drain assembly.
- If required, thread the bushing into the drain. Note that if your drain is narrow, you may not need to use the bushing.
- Spread an even layer of plumber’s putty around the lip of the shoe (the part that goes into the drain).
- Thread the shoe into the drain and tighten it securely so that the plumber’s putty forms a watertight seal.
- Finally, thread the provided plug into the drain assembly to complete the installation.
