JONES STEPHENS 9781441 Flush Valve Gaskets
Product Information
The Flush Valve Gaskets are essential components for maintaining a watertight seal in your toilet’s flush valve system. Designed to prevent leaks and ensure proper functioning, these gaskets are made from high-quality materials for durability and reliability.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before starting any work, turn off the water supply to the toilet. This can usually be done by locating the shut-off valve behind or near the toilet and turning it clockwise to close.
- Next, disconnect the flush chain (A) from the tank lever. This can be done by unhooking the chain from the lever or using pliers to remove any connecting pins.
- Locate the retainer cap (B) and carefully turn it counter-clockwise to remove it. This cap holds the flush valve gasket in place.
- Lift off the cannister body (C) to expose the old gasket (D).
- Remove the old gasket (D) by gently pulling it off or using a flat-head screwdriver to pry it loose.
- Take the new flush valve gasket and position it in place of the old one. Ensure that it is properly aligned and seated securely.
- Reassemble the cannister body (C) by placing it back onto the flush valve and aligning it with the retainer cap (B).
- Securely tighten the retainer cap (B) by turning it clockwise until it is snug.
- Reattach the flush chain (A) to the tank lever, ensuring it is properly connected.
- Turn on the water supply to the toilet by turning the shut-off valve counter-clockwise.
- Finally, check for any leaks around the flush valve gasket and make any necessary adjustments to ensure a proper seal.
Following these instructions will help you replace the flush valve gasket effectively and maintain the optimal performance of your toilet’s flushing mechanism.
