Product Information

The product is a seat designed for children’s safety during mealtime or playtime. It comes with restraint straps to prevent falling or sliding out of the seat. The seat is not intended for use in motor vehicles and should only be used on chairs with a minimum depth of 16 inches. The product should not be used on benches, stools, high bar chairs, table tops, bath tubs, or in booths. If the product is broken or damaged, it should be immediately reported to Contours Consumer Services Department.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Always use the restraint system to prevent serious injury. Attach the seat bottom straps around the bottom of the chair and behind the front legs.
  2. Attach the seat back straps to ensure that the seat does not slip over the top of the chair.
  3. Make sure the chair has a depth of at least 16 inches before using the seat. Avoid using the seat on chairs that create a loop with the strap to prevent strangulation hazards.
  4. Do not use the seat in motor vehicles or on elevated surfaces.
  5. Only use the product with a child who can hold their head up unassisted. Do not place the seat on raised or uneven surfaces other than a chair.
  6. When using the product on a chair, follow the instructions provided to attach the booster seat to the chair.
  7. Do not lift the unit with a child in it. Do not lift the unit by the tray.

How to Keep Your Child Safe While Using this Seat
°WARNING: Prevent serious injury or death from sliding out, falls or tipping over.

  • NEVER leave child unattended. Always secure child in the restraint until child is able to get in and out of the booster seat without help (about 2 ½ years old). The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair.
  • FALL HAZARD: ALWAYS secure straps tightly to seat back & seat bottom:
  • Attach seat bottom straps around the bottom of the chair and behind the front legs.
  • Attach seat back straps so it will not slip over the top of the chair.
    • When used as a floor seat, ALWAYS use the restraint.
    • Always make sure all straps are tight before each use.
    • Do not use on chairs where straps cannot fully be tightened.
    • Only use booster with a chair with a seat back, a seat width of at least 15.75” and a seat depth of at least 16”. DO NOT use on benches, stools, high bar chairs, table tops, bath tubs or in booths.
    • NEVER use this product as a bath seat. STRANGULATION HAZARD: To avoid strangulation hazards, do not use on chairs that create a loop with the strap.
    • WARNING: Prevent serious injury or death. Do not use in motor vehicles.
    • Floor seat is for use with children who are capable of holding their heads up unassisted for extended periods of time.
    • Booster Seat is for use with children over 6 months of age who are capable of sitting up unassisted for extended period of time. 40 lbs. maximum weight for the seat.
    • Not for use as a step stool.
    • NEVER allow a child to push away from table.
    • NEVER lift this product with your child in it.
    • NEVER use soft seat without main seat.
    • DO NOT use this product if it is damaged or broken.
    • When used as a floor seat, only use on level ground. NEVER place the floor seat on elevated surfaces.

PARTS LIST

To Use as a Floor Seat
Only use this product with a child who can hold their head up unassisted. Do not place this product on raised or uneven surfaces, other than a chair. When using on a chair, follow the ‘To Attach Booster Seat to a Chair” portion of the instructions. Do not lift with child in the unit. Do not lift unit with child in the unit by the tray.

  1. Turn the seat over as shown.

  2. Locate the 4 restraint straps on the sides and back of the seat’s base.

  3. Adjust each strap to its longest setting.

  4. Pull all 4 straps through the base towards the center of the seat’s base.

  5. Tuck all 4 straps securely into the pouch.

  6. Turn the seat upright and place on level ground.

  7. Always use the child restraint system.

To Secure Child in Restraint
WARNING Prevent serious injury or death from sliding out, falls, or tipping over. Always use restraint system.

  1. Place crotch strap between child’s legs.

  2. Adjust restraint system to fit snugly around child’s waist.

  3. As baby grows, push the buttons in on restraint straps to adjust the two side restraints.

  4. To fasten restraint system buckles – push together. Be sure both buckles are fastened to secure child safely.

  5. To unsnap the restraint system buckles, press the center button to release.

To Attach & Remove the Tray
WARNING
Until child is able to get in and out of the booster seat without help (about 2½ years old), the child should be secured in the booster seat at all times by the restraining system. The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair.

  1. To attach the tray, line up the knobs located on the sides of the seat with the holes located on the tray arms. Be sure tray arms lay flat against the seat base.

  2. Grasp the front of the tray, pull forward and rotate the tray into place until you hear a locking noise.

  3. To remove the tray, remove all food and food ware from the tray, and locate the release lever at the front, underside of the tray.

  4. Pull the release lever towards the front of the tray and rotate the tray upwards.

  5. Slide the tray backwards.

  6. Flex the arms of the tray and lift the tray up and off of the seat.

Note: The tray is not microwavable or dishwasher safe. HAND WASH WITH MILD SOAP ONLY.

To Attach Booster Seat to a Chair
CAUTION
Only use booster with a chair with a seat back, a seat width of at least 15.75” and a seat depth of at least 16”. DO NOT use on benches, stools, high bar chairs, table tops, bath tubs or in booths.

  1. On the sides and back of the seat, pull the 4 chair restraints straps out from the base.

  2. Place the booster seat on a suitable chair.

  3. A) Wrap the bottom straps around the bottom of the chair.

    • B). Buckle the straps together until you hear a “click’.
    • C). Pull on the free end of the strap to tighten and secure firmly.
  4. Pull on the strap to ensure it is attached securely.

  5. D) Wrap the back straps around the back of the chair.

    • E) Buckle the straps together until you hear a “click”.
    • F) Pull on the free end of the strap to tighten and secure firmly.
  6. Pull on the strap to ensure it is attached securely.

  7. Always use the child restraint system.

CAUTION
If you are unable to fully fasten the seat back strap on the chair, do not use this product with that chair. Ensure that the seat back strap can not slip up and off of the chair’s seat back.

To Rotate the Seat

  1. Locate the twist lock lever in the back of the seat.

  2. Pull up on the twist lock lever and begin rotating the seat.

  3. The seat will lock into place at 45 degrees and 90 degrees to both the left and right. Lock the seat into the desired orientation.

  4. Once you hear a click, lightly pull to the left and to the right on the horn to ensure that the seat is locked in the desired orientation.

To Attach and Remove Soft Seat

  1. To attach the soft seat, thread all 3 child restraint straps up through the openings of the soft seat.
  2. As the child grows, the soft seat can be removed. To remove the soft seat, thread all 3 child restraint straps down through the openings of the soft seat and remove soft seat.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  • Wipe clean with a damp cloth using mild soap.
  • The tray is not microwavable or dishwasher safe.
  • To clean the soft seat, wipe with a damp cloth.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Contours® warrants this product to be free of defects in materials and workmanship, as follows: For a period of ONE YEAR from the date of purchase, Contours will repair or replace, at its option, the defective product. If you have a problem or are not satisfied with this product, please contact the Consumer Service Department at Contours.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE CONSUMER. CONTOURS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT IS LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.
