Assembly and operating instructions

General instructions
Read these instructions carefully prior to installation and use. Keep this manual for reference purposes. The product may only be used used as described in the installation instructions operating instructions. The warranty applies only if the product is used on the intended manner and in accordance with the instructions.

Application
The halogen infrared heater IH is powerful with a surface temperature of 2200 °C. IH is the perfect choice for those outdoor environments where design is important is. IH is available in two different ones designs. The IHW takes care of one up close comfortable warmth in the living area and also ensures further heat distribution. The IHF has direct heat distribution and is designed for higher mounting. Protection class: IP44.

Placement
The infrared heaters must be placed around the area heating area can be placed (see figure 1). The units become normal spoken 2-3 m above the ground/floor placed. In general it applies to infrared heaters that 600–800 W/m² the temperature increases by about 10 °C. The capacity requirement can be limited as the area to be heated is walled. If the area has only a roof is minimal 800 W/m² required. 600 W/m² is sufficient if the area has 3 walls. For walled areas must become the capacity requirement calculated. Achieves optimal comfort u as the heat from two directions is being devided. IHW provides one wide heat distribution (60°), recommended installation height 1.8–2.5 m. IHF ensures for targeted heat distribution (40°), recommended installation height 2.3–3.5 m.

Edit
The IH installed horizontally on walls using the supplied bracket. The heater can reach a maximum temperature of 45° tilted. The radiator can also be mounted in for example a parasol or on a rod, a suitable U-bolt (not included). for this used together with the delivered console. Make for installation on the ceiling use of ceiling bracket IHE (accessory). For other mounting options, see accessories. See the diagrams on the introductory pages for the minimum distance.

  1. Install the bracket with minimum 2 screws on the wall. As the keyhole slots are used, there is one additional screw required for mounting clamp. See the introductory pages.
  2. Remove the screws included in delivery are at the back of the unit confirmed.
  3. Hook the unit onto the bracket.
  4. Position with the screws.

Connection
The IH is equipped with a 0.9 meter long cable with plug for connection to a grounded socket. The connecting cable maynot rest against the unit, as it surface becomes hot or due to thermal radiation can be hit. Contact us with an electrician as the cord must be replaced. Because of the high temperatures in the radiant heater must be a cord type H05 RN-F 3G1 mm² or are used similarly. Since the halogen lamp has a high starting current, the wall socket must be connected to a slow fuse are protected. When in doubt, take it contact an electrician.

Boot up
When using the unit for the first time or after a longer period of time period of downtime is used smoke or odor occurs as a result dust or dirt remaining on the element. This is completely normal and will clear up after a short time to disappear.

Replace the lamp
The heat lamp is of the very best quality and has a long lifespan, unless it is exposed to mechanicalloads in the form of vibrations and shock. The lifespan depends the ambient temperature and the way on which the radiant heater is installed. If the radiant heater is free and outdoors is installed, the temperature will be low are and is the expected life of the lamp about 3000 hours. The lamp must go on an installer or other skilled person person is replaced.

  1. Disconnect the power supply.
  2. Wait until the unit is cold.
  3. Remove the covers on both ends (four screws).
  4. Pull the grille to one side.
  5. Remove both reflector ends (two screws).
  6. Make the connections to the terminal block loose.
  7. Pull the lamp out of the lamp holders.
  8. Check that the replacement lamp is working has the correct power and voltage.
  9. Install the new lamp. Do not touch the lamp with your fingers and wear gloves or something similar.
  10. Place the protective tube back on the cables, so that the cables are not damaged touch when installing the grille.
  11. Mount the unit. See the introductory pages.

Maintenance

During all service, repair and maintenance work requires the power supply to the unit are disconnected. Guard until the unit is cold. The unit has no moving parts little maintenance is required. You have tothe unit clean and free from dust and are kept dirty. Like the reflector is not clean, takes the thermal radiation from the unit and will cause the radiant heater become warmer. A lot of dirt is possible lead to overheating. The surface of the reflector is sensitive and should be carefully.being cleaned. If the reflector is dirty it must be checked by a specialist cleaned or replaced.
