IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  5. Do not use this appliance near water.

  6. Clean only with a dry cloth.

  7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

  8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other heat producing devices (amplifiers included).

  9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounded plug. A polarized plug has two pins, one wider than the other. A grounded plug has two pins and a third grounding pin. The wide pin, or the third pin, are provided for safety purposes. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, contact an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet.

  10. Protect the power cable from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles and at the exit point from the appliance.

  11. Only use attachments and accessories explicitly approved by the manufacturer.

  12. Use only with carts, stands, tripods, brackets or tables specified by the manufacturer or sold with the appliance. When using a cart, use caution when moving the cart / appliance assembly to avoid injury from possible toppling over.

  13. Unplug this appliance during lightning storms or when not used for long periods.

  14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the appliance has been damaged in any way, i.e. damage to plug or power cable, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the appliance, the appliance has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally or has been dropped.

  15. Do not expose appliances to dripping or splashing and do not place any objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on top of them.

  16. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.

  17. Do not expose the battery to excessive heat, such as direct sunshine, fire or similar.

  18. CAUTION : Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with batteries of the the same or equivalent type.

  19. To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

  20. This appliance is provided with protection against splashing water and dust ingress (IP65).

  21. The battery should be used or stored at an air pressure above 11.6kPa, otherwise it may explode or leak flammable liquids and gases.

  22. Replacement of a battery with an incorrect type that can defeat a safeguard (for example, in the case of some lithium battery types). Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, that can result in an explosion.     The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

CAUTION :
To reduce the risk of the electric shock, do not perform any servicing other than that specified in the operating instructions, unless you are qualified to do so.

AC OPERATION

Before you plug the AC cable into an AC socket, be sure that the voltage is fully compatible with this radio.
The hooks on the back of the radio are designed to store the AC cable when you are not using it.

DC IN OPERATION

This radio may be powered via its DC IN socket, which allows the use of a 12V DC adaptor (not included).

BATTERY OPERATION

The radio may be powered by the built-in rechargeable battery.
This radio is equipped with a fully integrated rechargeable 10.8V 18650 / 3200mA 31.1W lithium battery which automatically connects when the AC power supply is not in use, and recharges when the radio is on AC power mode.

GENERAL OPERATION

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the radio.

  2. Press the SOURCE button to select the desired operating mode.

  3. Press and hold the MENU button to access the menu system of each mode. Highlight the menu item using the TUNING knob. Press the TUNING knob to select that item. Press the MENU button to go back to the previous page, or to exit the menu option without saving.

  4. The INFO button allows the display of information relating to the radio station or music file being played. Press the INFO button to cycle through the different options.

  5. In the FM mode, rotate the TUNING knob to increase / decrease the frequency with steps of 0.05MHz or rotate the TUNING knob and then press it to automatically scan for the next radio station with a higher / lower frequency.

  6. Rotate the VOLUME knob to adjust the sound level as needed.

  7. Storing a preset: To store the currently playing radio station as a preset, press and hold one of the radio’s PRESET buttons (1- 5) to store the station in that position in the current page until the confirmation message appears on the LCD display.

  9. Recalling a preset: Press a PRESET button to recall the station stored in that position in the currently selected page. Alternatively, press the PAGE button to access a different preset memory page. Then rotate the TUNING knob to select a station and press to confirm.

  10. Press the EQ button to access the EQ menu. Then rotate the VOLUME knob to select an EQ profile or select “My EQ Setup” option and subsequently set the “Treble” / “Middle” / “Bass” level. Press the VOLUME knob to confirm the setting.

  11. Press the LOUDNESS button to enable or disable the radio’s loudness function.

  12. Press the button to enter the “Timers” menu, then set the “Alarm” / “Sleep” / “Timer” using the TUNING knob.

USB CHARGE

Your radio has a USB port on its left-hand side, which can be used to charge smartphones and similar low voltage devices.
The USB port is protected by a rubber cover. When the port is not in use, the rubber cover should always be closed to prevent dust or dirt from entering.
When the radio is battery operated, the option “USB Charge” will appear in the System Settings. The USB Charge feature can be used to charge external USB devices and can be enabled or disabled by selecting “On” or “Off”.
In order to save battery power, this feature is disabled (Off) by default and needs to be enabled (On) in order to charge external USB devices. However, when the radio is in USB mode, external devices can always be charged, regardless of whether the USB Charge function has been enabled or disabled.
When the radio is powered from the mains or by a 12V DC IN adaptor (not included), external USB devices can always be charged, even when the radio is in Standby mode.
When the radio is battery operated, external USB devices cannot be charged if the radio is turned off.
Once the external device is fully charged, disconnect it from the radio and put back the rubber cover.
Recharge time may vary and usually takes longer than when using a standard charger.
