Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Instruction manuals provide valuable hints for using your new device. They
allow you to use all functions to avoid misunderstandings and damage. Please
take the time to read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
If you pass the device on to third parties, enclose these instructions.
SAFETY NOTES
Please note the included General Safety Notes and the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
- Please read this manual carefully and use the device only according to this manual.
- Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
- Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to use the device, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a qualified person.
- Make sure the voltage of the socket corresponds to the type label of the unit.
- Molten glue from the glue gun is very hot. Be careful not to spill it on exposed skin. If molten glue is spilled on skin immediately cool with cold water. Should the glue not come loose by itself consult a doctor.
- The nozzle becomes very hot during use. Please be very careful not to burn yourself.
- Keep the power cord away from hot parts.
- If the power cord is damaged do not use the unit any further. Have the power cord replaced by a professional.
- A glue gun is not a toy. It does not belong into the hands of children.
- Be careful not to spill hot glue on clothes of other fabric you do not intend to glue.
- Do not use liquids to clean the glue gun. Use a moist cloth at the utmost.
- Should the unit become damaged do not use it any further and have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer service. Do not disassemble the unit or try repairing it yourself.
Operation
Inserting a Glue Stick
Insert one glue stick 100 x 7 mm into the rear end of the glue gun and push it
in as far as you can. Press the trigger to make sure that the stick is solidly
pressed against the heater unit.
Operation
-
Connect the unit to a power outlet and set the glue gun on its wire support.
The glue gun heats up with a power of 10 W and then shifts to a heat holding mode of 7 W. Wait until some glue is molten and appears in the nozzle. When the trigger is pressed molten glue is forced out of the nozzle.
If you interrupt your work for longer than a few minutes, pull the power cord. -
Put some molten glue onto the dry, clean surface you want to use and immediately press the work piece you want to glue down into the molten glue. The glue solidifies almost immediately and forms an instant bond.
Press the glued parts together for several seconds. -
When the stick cannot be pushed any further by the trigger, put in a new stick. The old stick remains in the gun until it has been completely melted when using the unit next time.
Cleaning and Storing
- Before working on the tool, disconnect the plug from the power.
- Clean the device only with a lightly dampened cloth. Never immerse it in or spray it with water or liquids of any kind.
