Product information

The EV Charger is a fast charging system designed for electric vehicles. It is compatible with the AC-Wallbox in the SHxxRT system. The charger allows you to efficiently charge your electric vehicle, providing a reliable and convenient solution for your charging needs.

Product Usage Instructions

To ensure proper installation and usage of the EV charger, please follow the steps below:

  1. Verify that you are using the SHRT V112 or a newer version.
  2. Install the RS485 connection correctly.
  3. Access the energy management parameters in the Advanced Settings of the SHRT system.
  4. Adjust the Charger Access Port parameters according to the RS485 interface being used.

By following these steps, you will be able to configure the EV charger for optimal performance and compatibility with the SHxxRT system.

Additionally, you can enhance your charging experience by using the iSolarCloud App. This app provides additional features and functionality for monitoring and managing your charging sessions. Install the iSolarCloud App on your mobile device to conveniently access and control your EV charger.

Quick start AC wallbox in the SHxxRT system

  • Applicable to: AC011E-01

In the graphic below you can see how the AC011E-01 (AC wall box) is integrated into a 3-phase SUNGROW system with an SHRT-V11.

ATTENTION:
To ensure reliable communication between the system and iSolarCloud, only use a WiNet-S on the hybrid inverter.

Commissioning steps

  • Connect the AC wall box to the power circuit.
  • Establish the RS485 connection between the AC wall box and SHxxRT. (Wi-Fi is not supported)
  • Bring all SUNGROW devices to the latest software version. (SHxxRT, SBR, WiNet-S)
  • Make sure you have the latest version of the iSolarCloud app installed on your mobile device.
  • If the previous steps were completed successfully, the AC wall box will automatically appear on iSolarCloud.

ATTENTION:
Only end customers can see and use the full range of functions of the AC wall box on iSolarCloud.

To supply the AC wall box with power, use the connections on the back of the device.

Overview of the charging modes

Overview of the charging modes that can be set if the AC wall box is in a system with an SHxxRT inverter:

  • Charging with green electricity: This mode is the most economical charging mode. In this mode, the vehicle is preferably charged with PV energy without affecting further household consumption. If the inverter generates more energy than is consumed by the house, the vehicle is charged with this excess. If this excess energy is less than the minimum charging power of the AC wall box, the difference is taken from the grid.
  • Fast charging: In this mode, the vehicle is charged as quickly as possible without affecting the home’s own consumption. The energy required for charging can come from the PV modules, the battery, or from the grid.
  • Preset charging: In this mode, the vehicle is charged up to a time set by the user. The system switches between ‘charging with green electricity’ and ‘fast charging’ in order to provide a charged vehicle at the specified time as cost-effectively as possible.
  • Custom charging: In this mode, the user sets a time at which charging will start and the charging current. The energy required for charging can come from the PV modules, the battery, or from the grid.
