Prepare Electrical Wiring

Electrical Requirements
The LED fixture must be supplied with 120VAC 60Hz.

The grounding and bonding of the overall system shall be done in accordance with National Electric Code(NEC) Article 600 and local codes.

  • Wire stripper

Risk of   Damage: Must use UL approved conduit fittings for all enclosure box connections ta prevent wire cuts by sharp edges and excessive strain on wiring.

DIRECT WIRE INSTALLATION

  1. Turn off power source to the power supply you are installing the fixture in.

  2. Remove front cover by unscrewing the screws. Do not pull with excessive force.

  3. Drive the screws into the mounting surface until approximately 1/8″ (~3mm) of space remains under the head of the screw and surface. The screw spacing needs to be 9.6″, 15.6″ and 21.6″ for 12″, 18″ and 24″ fixture respectively. It may be required to pre-drill a pilot hole for the screws.

  4. Choose a suitable knock-out location from the eight options. Remove the knock-out with a screwdriver. Do not leave the removed metal circle inside the fixture.

  5. Mount strain relief to the fixture by inserting the threaded end through the knock-out and tighten nut. Strain relief should be on the outside of the connection cover with the nut on the inside. Push supply cable through the strain relief ensuring roughly 3″ of coble is through the fitting. Tighten screws around the supply cable.

  6. Connect each supply cable to internal wire with respective color by using provided wire nut. Black to black, white to white, and green (or bare copper wire) to green. Make sure that all wires are securely gripped, and no bare wires are exposed.

  7. Align the keyholes in the fixture with the two screws and slide into place. Tighten screws to secure fixture.

  8. Put front cover back to fixture and tighten screws. Turn on the electricity at the circuit breaker or fuse box and verify that the fixture functions properly.
