Congratulations and thank you for choosing the Record Plus™ family of current -limiting circuit breakers. This UL-listed lug connector kit is suitable for use with the FC100 circuit breaker series.Record Plus™ circuit breakers are designed with a full line of integrated accessories. All units use the latest in integrated modular circuit breaker technology for flexibility in application and maximizing the product’s utilization an capabilities. All Record Plus™ circuit breakers are listed by Underwriters Laboratories to the UL489 standard and the CSA Standard C22.2, No. 5. These circuit breakers are certified to IEC60947-2.
These accessories are also for use with our MAG -BREAK® instantaneous trip only circuit breakers, which meet the same standards and are UL-recognized components for use in motor applications. They can also be used with our molded case switches, which are listed per Under writers Laboratories to the UL489 standard.Record Plus™ circuit breakers and their accessories are designed and manufactured to exceed our global customers’ high standards for reliability and quality.
Warning: DANGER of electrical shock or injury. Ensure ALL electrical power supplies are OFF before installing or removing any devices. Do not remove circuit protective devices until the power is turned OFF. The breaker, trip unit, or accessories MUST ONLY be installed and serviced by QUALIFIED personnel. See NEMA publication AB4.
Product Description
These instructions describe the installation procedure for the wire connector accessory on Record Plus™ FC100 circuit breakers, as shown in Figure 1. The wire connector kits are available in five variants:

The catalog numbers with “K” (e.g. FCALK12) contain three (3) wire connectors. The catalog numbers without a “K” (e.g. FCAL12) contains one (1) wire connector. The parts are illustrated in Figure 2 and 3. Numbers in brackets in the text and the figures refer to the item numbers in Table 2.

Step 1: Unpack and Inspect
- Unpack the wire connector kit and inspect the parts for any shipping damage. Verify that all parts are supplied, as listed in Table 2 and illustrated in Figure 2 or Figure 3.
Step 2: Installation
Note: When using aluminum wire, use a joint compound recommended by the wire manufacturer.
Check to make sure all terminals are torqued to the proper value. (8.84 lb-in = 1 Nm)
FCAL12/FCALK12 15 – 20A Saddle Clamps
- Place nutplate [3] into recess in lug cover [1].
- Push lug cover into terminal opening until it snaps into place, as illustrated in Figure 1.
- Install saddle clamp [2] oriented as shown in Figure1.
- Use joint compound recommended by wire manufacturer with aluminum wire.
- Cu/Al wire, strip length: 0.40 – 0.45 in (10 – 11mm).
- Install wire #14 – 10 AWG and torque lug screw with5/32” or 4 mm hex wrench to 35 lb -in (4 Nm).
FCAL13/FCALK13/FCO13/FCOLK13 30 – 60A Lugs
FCAL14/FCALK14/FCO14/FCOLK14 70 – 100A Lugs
- Slide lug [2] into lug cover [1], as sh own in Figure 1.
- Push lug cover with lug inside in to terminal opening until it snaps into place, as illustrated in Figure 1.
- Use joint compound recommended by wire manufacturer with aluminum wire.
- Cu/ Al wire, strip length : 0.40 – 0.45 in ( 10 – 11mm)
- Install wire and torque lug screw with 4 mm or 5/ 32” h ex wrench accordin g to T able 3.
